See the Clark book I added to the further reading section. You can either access it on Google books, or failing that, I can add cite some of the material in the article. Viriditas (talk) 13:00, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I will. By the way, the map is pinched from a difference place. See the jpg name. You mentioned the toasted reporter's facts and map didn't match. Which map? If the one on this wikipage, then no wonder. If his map from his article, then maybe his info was right but his map was wrong. I hope this doesn't confuse you. I am writing and am utterly lost. haha. Pls let me know if you read this. I am not sure you are watching this talk page. Thanks again. Cheerio!--Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:00, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
His map. I just left you a message explaining what I think happened, and I tried to clear up the confusion. I'm going offline for a bit, but I hope you keep working on the article. You're doing a great job. If you familiarize yourself with DYK, you can get your article mentioned on the main page in the Did You Know... section, since it is a new article less than five days old. For help and guidance with DYK, you can either ask me questions or contact User talk:Kalathalan, who just added a DYK for Samuel Kamakau, another new Hawaii-related article. What you would need to do is create a "hook". You can see the rules, here. Viriditas (talk) 14:11, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nice catch on the Ka'u District. I still don't understand why Long Beach should go to the disambiguation page. I don't quite get the DUY thing. I will read up. Thank you for suggesting it to ..er..I forget his name.--Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It shouldn't go to the dab page. Did I do that? Whoops! I'll fix it... Viriditas (talk) 14:11, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kau District?

[edit]

Either the location on map or the Kau district is wrong. The location on map might be Hilo or Kalapana districts. Richiez (talk) 19:53, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Huh? Looks clearly in the Kau district to me. Hilo is the eastern side (alas, stiill no separate article on the district yet), and Kalapana, Hawaii is a former town in the Puna district, both not near. The map is for Naalehu, but that is close enough at this scale. Could you be more specific about what is in error and source? Thanks.
I double checked with GNIS and it only has a Kamilo Point which is the lava bench just to the north of the sand located by Google maps at the coords given. Also on the USGS maps as in Waiohinu Ahupuaa, which makes sense. W Nowicki (talk) 20:27, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the noise.. got disoriented when looking at the overview map. I will look again with google map or something because I am curious where exactly it is. Richiez (talk) 20:40, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve been reading about Henderson Island in the Pitcairn chain. What a mess on the beaches amidst an otherwise pristine and untouched remote island. 192.183.213.139 (talk) 18:57, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
