Merge

[edit]

Torsodog. I did a WP:BOLD merge of this and Hōzōmon to Sensō-ji, so WP:BRD. Seeing as both gates are part of the Sensō-ji site, it makes no sense to have this content spread across three separate pages. Since they are all related, sources discuss them together, and readers would want to learn about them together, they should be presented together. The Japanese article also covers all of Sensō-ji in one article. By no means is the main article long enough to require a split. Reywas92Talk 00:54, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

reywas92. Well I'd prefer a discussion about it rather than you unilaterally making the decision as I'm not sure I agree with you. Please start a discussion about it so a consensus can be reached. --TorsodogTalk 01:34, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm allowed to do something and then we WP:BRD...This is literally the "D" part of that, you can reply here. Both gates lead to Sensō-ji, so both should be covered in that article, and it currently holds this relevant information without any organizational issues or excessive length. Image

[edit]

I've fixed the image caption (which falsely claimed it showed fūjin and raijin) to indicate that it shows the back of the gate, but wouldn't it be better to use a photo showing the front of the gate (and its iconic statues)? — Troyp (talk) 17:37, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
