[edit]

Kasha Rigby is undisputedly the best (and highest publicized) female skiier/telemarker in the world. She has several "first decents" to her name, and even more "first female decents". She has appeared in multiple feature films, and been the subject of more than a dozen magazine articles. She is notable, newsworthy, and of great merit; and has a substantial list of credientials and accomplishments of only which a portion are shown. (More notable and more historical references are currently being researched as a response to possible deletion from wikipedia)

Though the sport of telemarking is not mainstream, extreme skiing has emerged to prominence over the last decade, and Kasha Rigby is at the forefront of the women's contribution to that sport.

Please provide sources to establish the subject's notability. Of course, the need for sources goes beyond notability. Information added to an article must be verifiable, and facts included must be attributed to a reliable source. Thanks. --Evb-wiki 20:10, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Multiple references were added for nearly every fact/acheivement documented. Bendavis97140 22:40, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly N and sourced; tag removed. I think this is one of our better articles. DGG 08:45, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You've got to be kidding. Where is she from? This article is missing very basic info, both personal and contextual. --Evb-wiki 15:13, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As the main contributor to this article, and as a newbie to wikipedia, I'm torn as to how I should proceed. I have access to much of the "personal and contextual" information, including the birthplace of the athlete in question. But at the same time, it seems as if wikipedia is meant to be the means of gathering already published and sourcable information about the subject. Since the majority of her exploits that have been published all focus solely on the merit and accomplishments she has had, it would be near impossible to provide more personal information unless it was obtained purely for the purpose of creating a better wiki article, which is a wiki-no-no. (ie, I can conduct an interview and ask the subject, but not find the information in already published format)--Bendavis97140 22:53, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
