[edit]All of the facts on this page are veritable, and were published by Katrina on her campaign website, http://www.swettforsenate.com

Also, if one were to read the website, there are no campaign plugs, just biographical information. It is factual and unbiased. Lyracat1 19:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

How katrina Lantos Met Dick Swett
[edit]I haven't tracked down a cite for this, but I have heard Katrina say that she met Dick through mutual friends at college, without the involvement of her father or that of any members of the Mormon church's Council of Elders. The Mormon Times article is of doubtful veracity. Timothy Horrigan (talk) 22:14, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
"Her family was Jewish"
[edit]I'm reverting this edit. Saying that the Lantos family "was Jewish" is ambiguous and possibly not even correct. Katrina's father, Tom Lantos, was a "secular" (non-religious) Jew, and her mother Annette converted to Mormonism. One or more reliable sources clarifying exactly what is meant by "Jewish" (religious? cultural?), and specifying a time period, would be necessary. — Richwales (talk) 19:22, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Open Technology Fund
[edit]"CEO of Open Technology Fund Resigns After Closed-Source Lobbying Effort" (https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/935k5p/open-technology-fund-ceo-resigns)
From the article.. "Liu attached to the email a copy of a letter from Katrina Lantos Swett, the president of the Lantos Foundation, a human rights group. In it, she proposed immediately dedicating $20 million to funding [closed source] censorship circumvention projects Freegate, Lantern, Psiphon, and Ultrasurf. These are apps or tools that let people browse the open internet from censored areas." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.60.109.13 (talk) 16:34, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
