Small Error[edit]

The article says: "This flooding impacted surrounding agricultural land and caused the loss of 8.7 cubic meters of timber". Is this missing a hundreds, thousands or millions before the word cubic? 8.7 cubic meters might amount to about one mature tree. Q3020Q (talk) 00:57, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kenney vs Kenny[edit]

They both seem to be used, and both get an equal number of Google hits. How do we figure out which is correct? - TheMightyQuill (talk) 16:33, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Easy - look at the map in the article and in the official source cited. Both show Kenney and not Kenny. On this basis, moving article to new name with correct spelling. Emeraude (talk) 18:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indian and Northern Affairs is not the official Kenn(e)y Dam website. There are a number of BC government websites that spell it without an extra e. Wikipedia's own maps are hardly a legitimate source. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 02:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure enough, you are correct. I guess Kenney is more likely then. Proposed new article outline[edit]

As part of the Wikimedia project, UBC students are doing a comprehensive edit and update of this article. From our research we've identified a number of areas that should be elaborated, and below is our (somewhat tentative) outline that we'll be using to structure our upcoming additions. 2.1 Relocation of the Cheslatta T’En

The outline looks entirely appropriate. It can be revised later if some sections come up short or others go long. However, I'm unsure about the title "Aboriginal impacts" as it sounds like it would be describing how Aboriginal people impacted the dam, rather than how the dam impacted Aboriginal people. maclean (talk) 17:45, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that's a good point. "Impacts on Aboriginal communities" might be more accurate, then - or perhaps we can simply title the section "Relocation of the Cheslatta T'En," and the part on legal action can be a subsection (since it was a consequence of the relocation). --Ebsutton (talk) 22:02, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
