Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I accidentally hit SAVE when only the first few sentences were written... it was flagged then. I believe the article should be reviewed once it is complete, many thanks to the awesome people who work on wikipedia--Mikojava (talk) 03:56, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It received a speedy deletion mark only because I hit SAVE after only typing a few lines in there. Now it's a much bigger and well supported article

Note

[edit]

Hello Mikojava, please do not wipe talk pages. For one it's confusing for people like me who come to help out and answer your questions and concerns, it's also considered bad form unless you are archiving etc. Your edits read a bit "advertisee" and lead people to believe that you are involved with Kii. If you are, the best thing to do, now that you have a framework laid out, is to disclose any connection that you may have to Kii on your user page, and invite other editors to contribute. I will be happy to help you in this regard. I will also add a tag (when I am done posting this) to the page so that people will know it is a work in progress. Welcome to wikipedia and happy editing! --Sue Rangell[citation needed] 03:16, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hype

[edit]

I made some edits, hoping to help out with the POV of the article, but after about a half hour of googling, I am unable to find even a single negative comment about this company. The level of Hype is pretty intense, and I invite anyone to take a look for themselves. I was hoping to create a small "critisism" section, so that this article doesn't look so much like a Kii Corporation brochure...but I can't. I am sure that with all of the wonderful things that Kii Corporation is doing for the world, that this artcle will survive without me. Good luck and happy editing. --Sue Rangell[citation needed] 03:59, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure

[edit]

Miko, if you had disclosed that you were the marketing director of Kii Corporation when this article was up for deletion, it would have been deleted. People like me came to your aid because we thought you were trying to make a legit wiki article. I personally thought that you were being picked on. I am very disappointed in the fact that the creator of this article refused to disclose his relationship to the subject matter at hand. I genuinely wanted to assist and help this person improve on the article, and in fact made several improvements. I directly asked about this. I feel as if my good nature has been used. I no longer think that this article has any place on the wiki. It is clearly a "puff piece" written by a single user for a single purpose. This is in violation of several wiki rules. That is all I have to say. Please contact me on my talk page if you need me. I will post no further here. --Sue Rangell[citation needed] 21:11, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sue, this article is intended to be a factual contribution. I don't think of myself as having refused to identify myself as such and think the article is well structured and supported in terms of the assertions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikojava (talkcontribs) 22:36, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think mikojava tried to hide the fact that he was affiliated with Kii, though he could have disclosed it better. I came here knowing who he was because one of his competitors brought the article to my attention. The COI tag was on the article after all. Gigs (talk) 15:08, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
