The subject doesn't seem to fulfill WP:NBASKETBALL or WP:NCOLLATH. On the other hand, in my opinion (and that's why I created it after all), the subject fulfills WP:GNG and WP:SPORTCRIT, which both supercede the first two criteria. The subject has significant coverage (he's the main subject of articles) from multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Additionally he has played for a national team that is a full member] of FIBA; WP:NFOOTBALL states that if a player has played in an official FIFA game, then he's cobsidered notable on the assumption that since he has played at such level he would have significant coverage. I think that's the case with this article. I'm writing this note as, previously, an article I'd written was nominated for deletion on the grounds that it didn't meet WP:NBASKETBALL. The article finally stayed as there was consensus that it met WP:GNG.
