Is there any evidence of head display being a ..."Central African tribal custom at the close of the 19th century?" The source being used to promote that line is from a literary academic who, from the looks of it, does not specialize in African affairs. I don't have access to the book in question from Peter Edgerly Firchow but I think that claim should be interrogated. I think that Rom's level of depravity does not at all fit with "Central African tribal custom." Littledansonman (talk) 16:17, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
