Number of Fights

[edit]

Source #8, 'The Boxing Historian', states that Len Wickwar only fought 470 fights in his career, with 340 victories. This is contradicted by other sources, such as one here https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/24129, which lists Wickwar's record as 473 fights and 342 victories. The opening paragraph agrees with the second conclusion, but doesn't have a source attached. I don't want to just disregard Source 8, especially since I don't know much personally about 1930s boxing; what should we do to figure out which case is more likely?
