Neutrality request (resolved)[edit]

Although the subject clearly passes WP:BIO, I am concerned that contributors of this article in good faith may have a COI regarding the subject or the use of certain references. What draws my concern is the heavy use of an article that has yet to be published. It is hosted by a site called dropbox which does not appear to be a place where reliable sources may originate from. I will open a discussion regarding it on WP:RS/N. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 01:19, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

RightCowLeftCoast: The article IS ALREADY PUBLISHED. Go to the bookstores and check the newsstands. Skin and Ink Magazine (http://skinandink.com) publishes in advance, and dropbox.com is an open sharing file, just like how Wikipedia is supposed to be used. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Expectgood (talkcontribs) 17:29, 9 January 2012‎
(edit conflict)Please see WP:BURDEN; it is not up to me to verify what is said is accurate. It is up to the contributing editor to provide a, or multiple, reliable sources to support the content added. The status of the source can be questioned.
I believe that the use of the article is done in good faith, but let us please keep to standards. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 01:37, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Furthermore, I have looked at the website for the magazine, and have not seen the article in question hosted there. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 01:38, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

As most print publications are barely surviving these days, the magazine encourages people to buy the publication instead of reading its entire contents online. The PDF page on dropbox.com serves as a reference since the article is not available online. Clearly the cover with the title is on the magazine's homepage (an indication that it's already been published) as on other magazine retailers' site (e.g. http://www.comixzone.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=07447050214203).Expectgood (talk) 01:51, 10 January 2012 (UTC) FYI, the Skin and Ink March 2012 issue was officially out on newsstands on January 10, 2012, with advance copies that was released a week before.Expectgood (talk) 02:51, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
