Warning to researchers

[edit]

I guess as her popularity has waned, the bogus posters have stopped raiding this site, looks like much of the false information has been corrected. Thanks.--Birtclp (talk) 13:25, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Almost all of the biographical information in this article is false, in a state of flux due to bad editing/vandalism, and usually distorted in a positive public relations direction. After all, who would want their biography assembled by "wrestling" fans? Unless they are a hot chick on the D-list, of course.--Son of Somebody (talk) 00:18, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto above...Despite proof that the corerect birth date is 1966, it keeps getting changed to 1973. And the birth place shown doesn't even match the links.Birtclp (talk) 22:08, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Singing

[edit]

It is paradoxical - how can she have first sung in the WWE after HHH/McMahons vs Taker/Kane/Rock - that was KOTOR - yet aomeone states that she sang at the Wrestlemanina of 2000 - which is correct. So that is the first time she has sang on the WWE.

[edit]

We badly need a 3rd opinion or more here. IMDB has an exhaustive list covering Lilian's career with WWE, and several other wrestlers have links to IMDB from Wikipedia. In fact, there are several fansites with superior-quality information about her than the ones listed here; it makes me wonder if the fansites listed here are just self-serving spam. In any case, I feel IMDB is an appropriate link. If anyone besides AutumnLeaves or myself has any input, it would be appreciated.--24.196.175.110 11:19, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

I deleted the second photo of Lillian Garcia because it was just a smaller version of the first one. No need to take up bandwith.

The two photos are not the same. The only thing similar about the two photos is that she is wearing the same outfit. --Jenn 04:03, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

There is no compelling reason to delete the IMDB link. Almost every other celebrity has their IMDB link intact on Wikipedia, and it contains information which isn't available at Wikipedia.--24.196.175.110 19:37, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

she's not a movie actress and that part is for offical sites of her's or her workplace
She is a television performer, and IMDB contains much more information about her work history than any other site listed. Also, as the Wiki article states, she did appear in at least one movie. Please stop deleting helpful content. --24.196.175.110 09:13, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
She appeared in one movie, in which the site you listed doesn't even LIST. The link section below is for her fansites and offical sites. There are hundreds of "info" sites out there, if there is one added that isn't fansite/offical site, what is to stop all of those from being posted? You seem to hijack this page a lot, and for no real reason. It is very disrespectful.
Continued deletion of content is considered vandalism. Stephanie McMahon has an IMDB link, but it persists because it is helpful and relevant. Please stop vandalizing this page. --24.196.175.110 09:42, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Vandalizing? Me? No. You are. You are doing this for one reason, and one reason only. You are disrespecting the hardwork people put into this page by spreading links that don't belong here. You need to leave your links out of this page, it has no reliable information on it. Which is also breaking Wiki rules. So learn your facts before you post links that don't belong.
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.--24.196.175.110 10:21, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birthdate

[edit]

Lilian Garcia graduated from Irmo High School in Columbia, SC in 1984 at the age of 17. The 1966 birthdate is corroborated at IMDB.com.

First of all, where on earth did you get that she "graduated in 1984" ??? Also, IMDB is NOT a reliable source ! They have many times got many peoples birthdays completely wrong ! And honestly, does Lilian look 40 to you !!!! Use your common sense! - J.D. 6 May 2006

Female entertainers have a long tradition of shaving off the years.

I'm not sure if you're trying to suggest some sort of plastic surgery with that 1 sentence reply, but you would really need proof for that to be considered in this matter about her year of birth, and I doubt you have any. Getting back to the issue however, where did you get "graduated in 1984" from ??? You MUST cite your reference otherwise it will be removed. and again IMDB is NOT a reliable source. - J.D. 6 May 2006

No, I am not implying any plastic surgery, I was only referring to the birthdate. Searching the web, I've found 1966, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, and 1975 listed as her year of birth. The 1984 comment was made here, in the talk section, so removing it is pointless. IMDB is as reliable a source as any other website's, and I can assure you with 100% confidence that her birth certificate & driver's license show her birth year as 1966. Yes, IMDB can be wrong, but I don't see any more reliable sites cited.

She graduated from Irmo High School in Columbia, SC in 1984. She was a finalist in the Miss South Carolina pageant in 1985. She graduated U. of South Carolina in 1988. Those are verifiable facts, and when someone makes the necessary phone calls (not me), they will all say the same thing: She was born in 1966.

Just out of random curiosity, how did you see her birth certificate and driver's license? Also, please sign your comments in some fashion. --Naha|(talk) 00:24, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, listen, how can you "assure me with 100% confidence" that her birth certificate & drivers license says 66??? How?? The only way is if you have seen them personally ! Have you?? and again you are on about the 84 graduation and i had asked you to tell us your source for this information-you said "the 1984 comment was made here", what do you mean it was made here in talk, so what if someone said it here, that doesn't mean anything.

Well anyway, I have FOUND a RELIABLE source for Lilian's age, that being Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It regularly publishes Wrestler data such as this, and Lilian's age, (as well as others) was published in a july 2005 edition of the newsletter, stating Lilian's age at the time as 31 (turning 32 the following month ), meaning that she will be turning 33 this year so she WAS born in 1973! Unless you have some indesputible evidence to the contrary, this case about her age is closed ! - J.D. 7 May 2006

J.D., you should get a Wikipedia account :) --Naha|(talk) 12:53, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I went to high school with Lilian & her sister. Lilian graduated high school in 1984, and she wasn't 10 or 11 at the time. To assert that a Wrestling Newsletter is more reliable than IMDB.com is laughable. I understand that you want to believe she's younger than she is, but she is, in fact, as old as she is...and as of May 2006, Lilian Garcia is 39 years old. It is to her credit that she appears more youthful. Believe what you like, keep making this page a farce, but she was born in 1966--there's no case to open about it.--24.196.175.110 14:12, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats pretty cool. In regards to IMDB, however, the website does not engage in fact checking. You e-mail them something, they add it without giving it a second thought. Yes, it has a lot of correct information, but it has a ton of incorrect information as well. Anything from IMDB must be crosschecked with other references if they exist. --Naha|(talk) 17:32, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I understand that. The problem is that other websites usually take their information from other websites such as IMDB and Wikipedia. Of all websites with information on Lilian Garcia, IMDB & Wikipedia seem far and away the most credible, the rest are WWE fansites.

The "Don't ask the age of a lady" factor is also at play here. I imagine some young fans don't like the notion of being attracted to a 40-year old. Too bad. It is only my intention to add some info about Lilian which isn't Wrestling related. There's no internet confirmation that Dalia Garcia is Lilian's sister, but I see no objections to that tidbit. If that piece of information survives on Wikipedia, eventually it should make its way to a WWE-related site. And then it will be "crosscheck-able" against itself. Cases like this, of course, highlight the inherent weakness of open-source information sites like Wikipedia & IMDB. I'm not a Wikipedia expert by any stretch. But I do know Lilian Garcia graduated from Irmo High School in 1984.  :)

I underestimated the ferocity with which Wrestling fans may sometimes adhere to the corporate fantasy storyline. I'll leave it from here, I think the article is in much better shape than when I came so maybe that's something.

Very true, very true. --Naha|(talk) 18:34, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

YOU (24.196.175.110) are the one making this page a farce. If we just let anyone come on a wikipedia page and say "hey I know him/her" or "I went to school with him/her" and then just let them edit articles in any way they like, reliability of this site would hit rock bottom in an instant as ANYONE could do that. So to let you just change her year of birth, just because you "say" you went to school with her, with ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF AT ALL is just ABSURD and IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ! Also your lack of wrestling knowledge is very obviously displayed by your statement about the wrestling observer. You've proably never even heard of it or Dave Meltzer, and for you to even suggest that IMDB is a "more reliable" source for wrestling info than Dave Meltzer & the observer, now THAT is laughable!! Very very ridiculous statement. If you knew anything, you would know that Dave Melzter and his "Wrestling Observer" are as reliable a source as you can get for wrestling ! And as far as IMDB goes, they actually aren't a reliable source in general, I have seen with my own eyes them post completely incorrect age information !!! So IMDB cannot be used as the "sole" source, ESPECIALLY for wrestling ! The Observer clearly outranks IMDB for reliability in wrestling information and therefore, until more conclusive evidence is brought forward to the contrary, The Observers figure for Lilian's age will be used as it's the most reliable source we have at this moment.

I also just want to make clear, this is not about me "wanting to believe she is younger" as you accuse. I just want the TRUTH, or the most accurate and reliable information available to us. And that clearly is not with IMDB especially when the Wrestling Observer is contradicting it, and its also absurd to let some anonymous individual just come on here and post any age they like just because they "say" they went to school with Lilian with absolutely NO PROOF ! That simply is not acceptable. Look, at the end of it all, she "may" be 40, and if she is, then WOW she is the hottest 40 year old i've ever seen !! But until there is more conclusive proof or more reliable sources saying so, as far as the information here goes, she is 32, turning 33 later this year ! - J.D. 7 May 2006

Calm down folks, we can have a conversation here without getting all snippy. While its true we can't write something just because someone claims it is true via personal experience, you can say that without jumping all over them. "I'd like to believe you, but unfortunatly you can't prove it so we can't use it" is short, simple, and to the point. I am not going to take sides in this argument, yet anyway. IMDB can be faulty, as I've already stated. I'm familiar with Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Observer Newsletter. I read it, I enjoy it, but that is besides the point. You have not proved that "The Observer clearly outranks IMDB.." in any fashion. So what, exactly, about Meltzer makes his work reliable? Does he cite sources? IF so, what are they? As far as I know, he's never worked for the WWE or any other promotion, he's just a fan... I could do the digging too, but I'm not the one trying to prove he's a good source. Please give us some more information. --Naha|(talk) 23:09, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've removed all my contributions. Enjoy your facts! --24.196.175.110 11:21, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

me too - Sheila - July 2006

"→Umm yep she does turn 40 this year. I too know her and yes she does look great. She recently devorced her no good husband. She does not date a wrestler, the wrestle thing is all drama. She has a normal nice boyfriend and lives in NYC--TabathaB 01:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Sheila"

TabathaB/Sheila : Please understand that we can't just let random anonymous internet users come onto wikipedia articles and just change things like peoples birthday simply because they "say" they "know them". If we did, then absolutely ANYBODY could do that on ANY article, and it would all just be a big mess. If you really DO know Lilian, please could you provide PROOF or just some evidence that you do. It would really be great to have someone here who really does know Lilian, so I truly hope you can show some evidence that you do know her. But until then, the changes to her birthday will be changed back. I hope to hear from you soon TabathaB/Sheila. - J.D. 26 June 2006

Another message for TabathaB/Sheila : I was really hoping to get a positive reply back concerning the issues addressed above, but instead you just deleted your comment and gave up and left !! WHY??? Why is it that every time someone comes here and says "hey I know Lilian" and makes changes to the article, and then as soon as they are just asked to provide some EVIDENCE that they really DO know Lilian, they say forget it and leave ??? The only reason would be that these people dont really know her. I really do hope that someone does, like you TabathaB/Sheila , and who can provide some proof that you do know her, because someone like that can GREATLY help this article. Please don't "give up and leave", your help can be greatly appreciated here. Please, I await to here from you. - J.D. 2 July 2006

It's because you can't easily prove that you know someone, or have met someone, or have gone to school with someone, on the internet. However, it is fun to watch someone spend so much energy to ensure that the wrong birthdate is listed. --24.196.175.110 22:57, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'VE GOT IT !!!! 24.196.175.110 READ THIS ok NOW we can verify her highschool graduation date once and for all, well I mean with your help 24.196.175.110. You say you went to Irmo High School with Lilian, ok then, Irmo High School has an Alumni website where ALL their past students from every class/year is listed ! BUT you have to be an alumni and register on the site to be able to log in and access that information. Being an alumni yourself, you are the one who could do this, do u have an account there?? If you dont you can simply register online, BUT heres the thing, once registered, to log in it asks only for e-mail and password, so for the time being register with a temporary e-mail and password (which you can easily change later) and post here what that temporary e-mail and password is so that I can log into the site and see for myself the class of 84's page and verify that Lilian garcia's name is there. This would 99.9% VERIFY your claim ! The site is : http://irmo.alumniclass.com/index.php Finally! Lets do this and find out the truth once and for all ! Great, I'm waiting to hear from you 24.196.175.110 ! - J.D. 7 July 2006

The site only lists those alumni who have registered, and it also says "This site has no association with the school or school district." So anyone can register there, and you can feel free to register there yourself. Also, please sign your Wikipedia comments with 4 tildes (~). --24.196.175.110 17:32, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- yeah I see your point, so therefore the reliability of this site isn't high unfortunately. ok look, seriously don't you have any single shred of tangible proof to back up your claims, like your high school year book, or other school documents/newsletters, pictures, videos, like ANYTHING at ALL ?!?!? These can all be uploaded onto the internet and used as references. We just need something a bit more than simply a one sentence "I used to know her". Im sure you can find something. - J.D. 10 July 2006

I do have a yearbook with her photo in it, but if I scan the photo it won't prove anything, since it doesn't have a date on the same page. Even if it did, how could I prove that I didn't Photoshop it? Meh...Lilian joins Nancy Reagan and Ann Coulter as "mystery birthdates on Wikipedia". So much for the Internet.--24.196.175.110 13:32, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Guys, I think we've reached the point where you have to just agree to disagree. This back and forth arguing has gone on long enough and dominated the page, yet we're still no nearer to any conclusion and like the post above said, let's just consign this to history and move on. Like I said, agree to disagree

One side has already conceded that this is the best thing to do, and I think we should take our lead from that. Lilian is to be celebrated, not bickered about by her own fans and this page will be a lot better if we just move on and enjoy her for who she is. Soul Rose 09:52, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good, just be aware that the birthdate listed is incorrect. :) --24.196.175.110 02:36, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This article is not for celebrating Lilian Garcia, it is for reporting facts about Lilian Garcia. There is no "side" or "concession" necessary, and contributors don't need to be "fans", they just need to be accurate.--Son of Somebody 22:11, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a lilian fan, i go through many pages on here and correct things that need be. Now seeing as on nearly all websites that i have looked at when i googled for this information a little while ago lilians birthday is put as 1973, now unless someone can provide 100% proof with a realible LINK that EVERYONE can see, then it should stay as 1973 unless proof is provided otherwise. Also IMDB is not 100% reliable they have alot of inaccurate information on there, so i will ask that imdb is not use as a link. Lil crazy thing 13:31, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
While IMdB isn't 100% reliable (what is?), they do have thorough fact-checking and IMdB is used as a widespread citable source throughout Wikipedia. The incorrect 1973 date appears to have originated on this very page, then spread out to the wrestling fansites you mention. Lilian Garcia graduated from Irmo High School in 1984 and from the University of South Carolina in 1988, both matters of public knowledge (read this page). Any reasonable person will agree that IMdB, while imperfect, is a more reliable source than any wrestling fansite. If any "official" page such as WWE's website listed a date, you'd have a case. IMdB will continue to be used as a citation, as it is used throughout the rest of Wikipedia. Whether IMdB is a reliable site is a matter of discussion for the IMdB talk page.--Son of Somebody 23:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I guess nobody wants to contact the schools to find out if they have public records on their past graduates; it's much more fun to bicker here (I hope Lilian gets to see this). :-) Could there be some other relevant record-keeping authority? Maybe there are more public records in Spain than there is in the U.S. There might be information about her in a Who's Who book or some WWE biography etc. A curious fact: there is one Lilian Garcia-Roig, painter, born 1966 (use Google to check out). Wipe 02:29, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Addition: someone seems to think the Miss South Carolina beauty pageant episode happened in 1985. That year she would have turned 19. Surely the organization running the contest is willing to give (and publish) the lists of former finalists? I believe the ages of beauty pageant participants are commonly announced to the audience. The results ought to be in some local news paper also, found in a library or archive nowadays. Wipe 23:56, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some progress: I found something interesting with the Google News Archive Search. An article from 1988 mentions a Lilian Garcia in connection with the "Miss SC" contest. She appears to have been "Miss Columbia Northeast". You'd have to pay $2.95 to read the article on-line. The 1973 theory is starting to look unlikely, since 88 - 73 = 15. You can't take part in an adults' beauty pageant if you're 15, but 22 is quite normal. The publication in question: The State, July 4, 1988 – "MISS SC CONTEST: LOOKS LIKE BUSINESS AS USUAL". Now if there were a method of finding out if this is the right Lilian Garcia... Wipe 01:18, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem, I guess there could have been two Lilian Garcias in the Miss SC competition in different years, but Lilian's web page states that she was in fact a top 10 finalist (but no year is given). Wipe 01:39, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I graduated Irmo in 1985...Lilian Garcia graduated the year before in 1984. I can scan her pic in my 1984 year book if needed for proof...or I can link this newspaper article from 1983 about her older sister Dalia winning Miss SC. In it it mentions Dalia's 16-year old sister Lilian. So I don't have a link to her exact birthday, but I do have a link to an article verifying that she was 16-years old on July 11, 1983, which would mean she was born in either 1965 or 1966. Based on the August birthdate, the year would be 1966. Miss SC Article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.190.182.22 (talk) 18:47, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Should it really say McGuirk is her predecessor? He left WWF in 1992, Lilian didn't get hired until 1999. It was also a few years before Lilian took over RAW announcing duties fulltime. TJ Spyke 01:23, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Mcguirk is a woman, and since Lillian was the next female to follow her, using predecessor in this case makes sense. 144.126.208.61 03:01, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have been watching from the sidelines the constant edit-warring going on among this article's editors, whether Lilian Garcia was born in 1966 or 1973. There are also conflicting dates within the article, that Lilian graduated high school in 1984, or that she graduated college in 1985, this just does not seem to be working out and I don't see this debate ending well. I think we will need more than one citation for this, perhaps an official one from the WWE. Hopefully this argument can be resolved. Valley2city 03:28, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Raw After WM23

[edit]

"On the Raw after WrestleMania 23, Mr. McMahon was wearing a hat to cover his newly shaven bald head. Bobby Lashley came out and took Mr. McMahon's hat off. Mr. McMahon then tried to cover his head with other things including Jerry Lawler's crown, Jim Ross's hat, and the ring apron. After Lashley ripped the apron off Mr. McMahon, McMahon then hid under Lilian's long skirt. Lashley then promtly ripped off Lilian's skirt, exposing both of them Later lilian returned as the ring anouncer in her black panties which were exposed ["

The final word on her age / birthdate

[edit]

So what is the final word on this? The article refers to the IMDB as a source for her birthdate, but IMDB now lists the 1966 date. If that's what we're using as a reference, then her Birthdate will have to be changed on this page as well. Vandalism

[edit]

I don't know why on earth this article of all things seems to be a target of vandalism from anonymous IP's as of late, but it's really become a problem. I've already had this page locked once, and if I continue to see people vandalize it, I think the next step will be getting some IP users banned from editing. Spman 21:13, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

I came across this article in a vandalism report to WP:AIV, I've reverted the date of birth to 1973 as there is far more evidence for 1973 as opposed to 1966, and until verifiable links that can match or better those listing 1973 can be produced, the article will stay as is. It seems to me the one cited link to IMDB is possibly incorrect. If this continues, I will revert, protect and block, any questions please don't hesitate to give me a shout. From your Google search, I see Wikipedia, three mirrors of Wikipedia, one fan site, and a few other junk pages that all appear to be getting the 1973 date from here. At least IMDB, which is a reputable source that is used throughout Wikipedia is a verifiable source for the 1966 date. If we are unable to come to a consensus in regards to this, I feel the best course of action is to just leave out her date of birth altogether.Spman 22:27, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
IMDb is not a reliable source for any information. I have tried my best for months to find a reliable source for her age but since I was unable to find one, I say delete her birthday and mark it down as "unknown" until someone can find something. - Deep Shadow 22:42, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia tries to assert vertifiability for all its information, however IMDB doesn't put itself through the self examination that happen within Wikipedia and this topic is a good example. So this takes User:Spman's initial argument to 1 non verifiable site (IMDB) to Wikipedia and it mirrors sites which have to be ignored and a plethora of fan sites and blogs. Someone wrote in this talk page that some women in the limelight assuage their age to appear younger and change their target audience etc. Wikipedia is not in the investigation business and has to show information that again comes from official sources and until America today does an exposé refuting this we'd have to go with information that is officially released. Now User:Deep Shadow has said that after months of looking he cannot find a verifiable source, so I would say as with both User:Spman& User:Deep Shadow, that unless her official fan or another offically associated site to WWE gives a date, then remove the date and her age completely from the article. Khukri 08:10, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well then if no one disagrees, I will remove her date of birth later on today.Spman 19:06, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Album?

Anyone know a release date for her new album?Sephiroth storm 04:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Singing Career"

[edit]

How and when did this article's lead paragraph and general structure get re-arranged to suggest that Garcia is known primarily as a singer? Wishful thinking by a lazy publicist?--Son of Somebody 10:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Album BOMBS Bigtime - Disastrous sales

[edit]

Source: Nielson Soundscan

WWE ring announcer released her debut solo album last week titled "Quiero Vivir!". Despite making many live appearances and having the WWE promotional machine behind her, the album's first week sales were disastrous.

Nielson Media Research, the company responsible for measuring and reporting television viewership ratings, has a subsidiary company called "Soundscan" that tracks the sales of music albums.

Soundscan reports that Lilian Garcia's new CD didn't even break the Top 200, selling less than 3,800 units. The number 200 on this week's list sold 3,897.

Stop putting this page in "Protection"!!

[edit]

Some people, most probably moron diehard fans, keep on putting this page in protection mode so nobody apart from them can edit it. This is totally unjustified and this type of behaviour has no place here. It has already been over a month in protection!! This is not right! Protection should only be for small periods of time when someone is spaming or vandalising the page, not indefinitely!!! Take this page off protection mode immediately otherwise it will be reported. - ST, 21:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

It's only protected against unregistered users and accounts less than four days old. Anyone with an account more than four days old can edit this article, that's hardly "only them." Gavyn Sykes (talk) 04:29, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birth Date

[edit]

I found out that her birth date is August 19th 1973. http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/profiles/l/lilian-garcia.html Lee.

Why can't I put her birth date on the page? Her official website says its August 19, 1973 so I thought it should be on here.

Please refer to prior discussions. We were unable to come to a conclusion as to whether the correct date of her birth was 1966 or 1973, as both dates are mentioned in different sources. Until we can find one reputable source that definitively states her date of birth, it should not be added. Spman (talk) 17:52, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
the only way her birth date can be confirm is have her birth certificate be the proof. she really need to have her birthdate mentioned on her profile on wwe.com.--Boutitbenza 69 9 (talk) 01:31, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lilian was born in 1973. Look at her website —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.21.101.185 (talk) 06:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

imdb is good for all info EXCEPT her birthdate, only half-assed fansites by (snicker) wrestling fans are good enough to make her younger than ever —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.49.75.18 (talk) 21:55, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trust me, some of the editors here just make wrestling fans look bad. For instance, someone had indisputable video evidence of who won a pinfall at a PPV but because of policy wonkery they kept reverting the edit because it was on youtube and kept the original wrongly informed match outcome. It's pathetic.SChaos1701 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:42, 19 March 2009 (UTC).[reply]

I posted this above and tried to correct birth year, but I'm new to Wikipedia and couldn't get it to work, so can someone else make change to show correct birth date? The correct year is 1966. I'm also pretty sure she was born in Florence SC and then moved to Spain at a young age, but unlike the birth year I'm not 100% sure about this and don't have a link to proive it. I went to HS with her at Irmo and attended USC at the same time she did. She graduated HS in 1984. Here is link to July 11, 1983 newspaper article verifying that she was 16 on this date, meaning if her birthday is in August she was born in 1966. Hope the naysayers are finally satisfied. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1979&dat=19830709&id=Q48iAAAAIBAJ&sjid=gq0FAAAAIBAJ&pg=1435,1255579 (Birtclp (talk) 02:18, 23 April 2010 (UTC)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Birtclp (talkcontribs) 18:59, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

and other articles verifying her HS (1984) & college (1988) graduation dates. http://www.dtmmag.com/news.php?nid=686 and http://tripatlas.com/Age_fabrication (Birtclp (talk) 02:20, 23 April 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Now for the "Madrid, Spain" birthplace nonsense. She was born in Florence, SC--Son of Somebody (talk) 20:04, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TITLE

[edit]

The correct title of the article is "Lilian García", with ´ above i, just the same in the bold phrase of the outset, which is correct though.--83.41.255.105 (talk) 12:53, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
