Restructuring of article body
[edit]Hi fellow Wikipedians,
This article is an extensive biography of an evidently important, living operatic soprano. However, it seems that successive edits of an essentially additive nature have resulted in an overall structure that’s quite unwieldy. The lead paragraph could be more succinct and focus on more relevant career achievements, and needs updating beyond 2015. Structural divisions “The Met” & “Elsewhere” might have been more useful earlier in Oropesa’s career after finishing the Lindemann program when a majority of her major work was with the Met, but with an international career of this calibre this is no longer the case: perhaps a chronological ordering of her performances would be a better organised way of presenting this information. Repertoire and disco-/videography sections are exemplary, but the article body needs some attention for structure. I will attempt to get to this but it sadly won’t be soon. Repertoire
[edit]There seems to be confusion about what repertoire means. We have many people who are editing the article and adding every performance to the repertoire section. The very definition of repertoire is "a stock of plays, dances, or items that a company or a performer knows or is prepared to perform", not "every time a performer has performed a role". See the repertoire section of Maria Callas's Wikipedia for a reference as to how the section should look. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.240.98.41 (talk) 16:35, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
LolitaCallas response: Hello, that was me, I apologize for that, I thought whoever was erasing the info would contact me. I didn't realize there was an actual way to see the editing history. Moreover it didnt occur to me the difference between debut and performances. I feel like a silly, willy-nilly. Thanks for not throwing a tomato at me :). Will not happen again.
