Removed summaries copied from other sites
[edit]I removed some episodes that were copied from other web sites, see these google searches: [1] [2]. This is a common problem with unaired episodes, people copy summries from spoiler sites and paste them here. - Peregrine Fisher 21:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Spoiler Warning?
[edit]Why is there text indicating the end of spoilers, but not one at the beginning? Mrwhizzard 16:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Episode notability
[edit]Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected, merged or deleted. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks. TTN 23:52, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Judas On a Pole
[edit]what is the song that is sung in the episode with the lyrics "if i could make a deal with god" anyone know? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.23.174.206 (talk) 01:58, August 23, 2007 (UTC)
If you are still looking for the song see http://heardontv.com/tvshow/Bones/Season+2/Judas+on+a+Pole, I think it is Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush that you are referring to. -- 80.217.14.196 (talk) 18:49, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Season 3 episodes
[edit]I've removed some entries about episodes supposedly being broadcast at some date in the future, which were sourced to some spoiler site or other. Those sites aren't reliable for our purposes. Please feel free to restore with, for instance, official schedule announcements by the broadcaster. Don't include predictions about plot, per WP:CRYSTAL, without an unimpeachable source (for instance an official and definitive statement about a character's fate made by the production company). --Tony Sidaway 15:24, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I found this, spoiler for next 2 episodes, it reveal the date air too, isi't reliable? EP10EP11 --Aleenf1 15:13, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Quotes around episode titles?
[edit]Do we really need them? I'm gonna get rid of them, but if they are necessary then tell me why and I'll leave 'em. Yellow Mage (talk) 13:07, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, they're part of the template. OK then, never mind. But still, are they necessary? Yellow Mage (talk) 13:20, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keeping the quotes would be grammatically correct. Any major title, such as that of the show, should be underlined and minor sub-titles, such as a specific episode, are supposed to be in quotes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.77.207.18 (talk) 04:41, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Season 4
[edit]What source is being used for the title of the season 4 episodes and their descriptions. It sounds to me like Yanks In The U.K might be the season opener. Things could get confusing as four episodes have already been filmed but not the first episode of the season, so internal production numbers will not be the same as actual airing order. Million_Moments (talk) 10:42, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Someone has swapped them now but I'd still like to know the reference as it should be included.Million_Moments (talk) 10:00, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Spoiler, Series 3 finale
[edit]I went ahead and removed the (gigantic!) spoiler from the series 3 finale summary. The page has no spoiler warning, which is right in my opinion - there's no need for the kind of summary that contains spoilers on this kind of aggregate page. There're no other episode-end spoilers on this page, so I felt it fit with the tone.
Also, to whoever put the spoiler there in the first place: thanks for ruining the end of the series for me. I was just on here to check how many episodes there were in season 3 and my eyes happened on the sentence in question. Bah. 91.111.48.17 (talk) 20:02, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- this is not a fan guide but an encyclopedia - it records (all) facts. That ad blurbs are used instead of actual ep content descr. is just editor's laziness and bad style. You should expect any and all spoilers on WP. It is also my understanding that the spoiler tag shouldnt be used any more on any page --Echosmoke (talk) 17:31, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Who cares what comes after Bones in the UK!
[edit]I deleted a reference to some British show in the season 3 blurb because who cares what british show comes on after bones in the lineup. This is for the show Bones and we don't need to hear anything more than that here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.106.149.31 (talk) 12:59, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- "The Boy in the Time Capsule" isn't a different show; it's an episode of Bones, after the airing of which the show went on hiatus.

season 4 uk airdates
[edit]are these dates correct? as far as i was aware sky one stopped airing in the uk, after episode 10, the passenger in the oven, on the 20th nov, and they resumed on the 11th feb with episode 11, the bone that blew. they did advertise after episode 10, that they'd be back in the new year. did this happen for everyone, or just me?! would be good to know what's going on, and where the dates come from! 77.97.18.22 (talk) 19:56, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- i've just watched episode 11 and have seen it before, but BEFORE the original UK airdate. there have been people complaining that sky one either show in wrong order, or get the episode numbers incorrect. can anyone confirm? 77.97.18.22 (talk) 23:31, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Bones stopped airing in the UK after The Bone That Blew on 27th November and resumed on 19th February. Disney avatar (talk) 22:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
UK airdates
[edit]Why are the UK airdates listed? It's a U.S. show. That makes no sense. 70.49.242.27 (talk) 19:11, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- As far as I know it's not a US-UK co-production so listing the UK airdates makes no sense. 70.50.53.68 (talk) 17:17, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- I started putting the UK airdates and the viewing figures on. The airdates I understand but not the viewing figures. The figures were deleted but why? Other shows like Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives display the UK ratings, so please don't delete the UK ratings as they show how big the show is in the UK. Thanks. Disney avatar (talk) 22:30, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Real summery?
[edit]I'm not too sure about the summary for the upcoming episode: 83 (25) "The Critic In The Cabernet". Especially the "Stewie" part. Is there a source explaining the whole thing? Thanks. 71.48.123.149 (talk) 22:20, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- I was just wondering the same thing. I know for sure the bit about Bones wanting a baby is accurate, as I've read it on several spoiler sites. But the Stewie bit definitely sounds kind of shady to me. Morhange (talk) 10:08, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Being an avid Bones watcher myself I just saw the preview for the episode in question... as odd as it may sound Stewie Griffin is in fact in it. Gares (talk) 01:16, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Synopsis of Episode "The End In The Beginning"
[edit]I read the synopsis of this episode about five minutes after watching the show and I can say with absolute certainty that the episode is not some story Brennan has been writing. She has been writing, but she's been writing some soppy meditation about the meaning of love and relationships. It's about one page long. It's certainly not a long detective story featuring the "Bones" characters. And when Booth wakes up, he says very clearly that he's been having a weird dream. I honestly don't know how any reasonable person with functioning eyes and ears could think that. Where did this synopsis come from? Who wrote it? The entry should say "At the end of the episode we discover it is a dream Booth has been having". I edited it very quickly when I saw it (not logged in, on my iPhone) and now it's been changed back.
Whoever changed it back, please go and watch the episode. I am absolutely sure you will see that I'm right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hostile17 (talk • contribs) 07:12, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I watched the episode again and I don't think you're right. How do you know that what Bones wrote was only one page long? We see the last page of what could be one of her stories. This is just as reasonable as thinking that when Booth is saying "What a weird dream." he's talking about that story. He could have been dreaming about pink elephants, those are weird, too. Six words (talk) 07:49, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it is in fact a story being written by Brennan. It would be pretty impressive if Brennan could narrate Booth's dream. It also wouldn't make sense for Booth to have a dream about Brennan and then not know who she he is when he wakes up. Hart Hanson specifically said before the episode aired that the sex wouldn't be a "dream" or a "hallucination" and Emily Deschanel said it was done in a "very creative way." That just leaves the possibility that Brennan was writing the story. Psm1984 (talk) 08:17, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- I believe technically Hogans narrated most of the story line except the very last bit when you see Brennan typing. Plus all the characters were different people in the story so it could be that Booth didn't recognize her —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.77.207.18 (talk) 04:51, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Every summary removed on April 4th
[edit]Every episode summary was removed from this page on April 4th by Drovethrughosts. That kind of extensive editing could use an explanation on the talk page. Was every summary discovered to be copied from other sites? Is it being decided to not have summaries on List of Episodes pages? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.71.76.23 (talk) 00:19, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's because I created individual pages for the seasons, so the episode tables (along with the summaries) are on the season pages. It's a common practice to use the Template:Episode list/sublist for a show with quite a few seasons, and breaking them up into sublists, so you're not just duplicating all the episode tables for this page. Drovethrughosts (talk) 02:11, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for explaining. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.71.76.23 (talk) 04:46, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Season 5
[edit]I think the season 5 title column should be reduced and and the viewer column should be made lager to fix the spacing.SpartasPhalanx (talk) 01:27, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Suggestion
[edit]I think that the UK ratings should be removed from the table. They just creates unnecessary two line rows and so much numbers look distracting to the appearance of the whole table. Just compare episode list for Season 1 and Season 2. Maybe they could be incorporated in every season episode list page in a section named International ratings or something like that. Dr. Vicodine (talk) 10:19, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- The tables definitely would look better if they just included the US ratings (as they are the only ratings that essentially matter as it's an American show). They also don't contain any references. Tommyjgrimshaw is the one who adds the UK ratings, so I'm wondering how he feels about this. They could be moved into a separate section in the individual season pages if needed. Drovethrughosts (talk) 21:40, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. You're right about the tables. I'll create a section for each season about international ratings. Tommyjgrimshaw (talk) 18:32, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Season 7, Number of Epsiodes
[edit]could you please stop reverting edits? the reality is, we dont know if the remaining 4 episodes will be part of this or next season and until we know, we shouldnt assume anything. wikipedia is about neutrality and facts not assumptions and speculations. --79.212.241.9 (talk) 02:14, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- the futon critic has been repeatedly wrong regarding episode counts all throughout the season, eg claiming family guy would have 22 episodes this season, long before fox announced anything and sticking to it even after fox announced it would be 23 episodes and he's doing the very same thing with bones right now, claiming to know already that the season will be 24 episodes - preposterous and presumptuous at this point in time. my point is, what qualifies him as a reliable source? --79.212.241.9 (talk) 02:27, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- haha, here's the real kicker: fox has finally made an announcement and, surprise, surprise, the futon critic has been wrong. on http://www.fox.com/bones/ it says in the top left corner: TIME PERIOD PREMIERE FRI 9/8c JUN 1. so i guess i was right all along =P --79.212.241.9 (talk) 02:29, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- TFC becomes there infos directly form the networks, in form of press realeases. And per press relase here, http://thefutoncritic.com/listings/20120501fox01/, is the 13. epiosde from the seven season the season finale. All ohter things are unsourced and speculative. Another source that confirm this in form of a press release directly from Fox is http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/04/23/fox-announces-finale-dates-for-house-glee-family-guy-nascar-ufc-and-mlb-events/130417/. -- Serienfan2010 (talk) 02:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- now THIS, i consider a reliable source. turns out that the shift to fridays is only for reruns, didnt know that. i would however appreciate if you dropped the attitude calling my edits vandalism. wikipedia has a very clear definition on whats vandalism and what isnt and my edits were clearly done in good faith as i first started due to a lack of source and then believed to have found a more reliable source than the one you provided (though i was mistaken), which you btw could have integrated into the article, avoiding all of this. also, i really dont appreciate the threat regarding "editing privileges"... und ich seh grad dass du deutscher bist... ja ich hab mich geirrt aber das ändert nichts daran dass das kein vandalismus war und gleich so arrogant zu reagieren zeugt auch nich grad von manieren --79.212.241.9 (talk) 03:05, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Season 7 seems corrupted, what's with the lack of any content and the raw code? (html?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.59.82.124 (talk) 01:48, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- It's fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:30, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- It's broken again. Have tried to fix it by fixing some of the differences between the episode list Bones (season 8) as compared to Bones (season 7) and Bones (season 6) but that doesn't seem to do anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.171.79.139 (talk) 22:26, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned references in List of Bones episodes
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Bones episodes's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "episode count":
- From Bones (season 8): Roffman, Marisa (July 24, 2012). "BONES Scoop: Hart Hanson Teases Brennan's (Temporary) Replacement, An Extended Season 8, and the Upcoming 150th Episode". Give Me My Remote. Retrieved August 19, 2012.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 16:57, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Episode 150/151
[edit]The promos indicate this is 150, but the series on wiki lists it as 151. I assume this is because Yanks in the UK is a 2-parter. Should we list those as parts 1/2 to make the 150th episode line up with what the producers consider it to be?? Just a thought. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.187.158.92 (talk) 02:47, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
