[edit]Why was this whole section deleted?!—Preceding unsigned comment added by Kbelltrium (talk • contribs) 14:36, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- Though one cannot actually refer to a Wikipedia article, one can copy in the source used for that article. Usually it will be the faculty members official page at NYU, which is considered by WP:RS to be an acceptable source for biographical detail. personally, I think just having the blue link ought to be sufficient, as long as the underlying article is sourced, but the current opinion here, silly as it is, is that the source has to be specifically stated in the list. time we changed that, but it's necessary to go along with the current rule. I do not think the material should be removed while that is pending--it's pointy. DGG (talk) 23:45, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

This needs a lot of work
[edit]Disorganized, repeating and conflicting information, and just overall messy. I will spend the next few weeks reorganizing this page. ChipotleHater (talk) 18:59, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Ta-Nehisi Coates
[edit]Why is Ta-Nehisi Coates not listed? Not only a prominent former member of the faculty, he was a MacArthur Fellow. Neuroglider (talk) 12:35, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
