dubious entries[edit]

I found these entries on the membership list. Please provide some sort of reliable source to back these entries before putting them back.

  • Matthew Campbell (2007), Canadian heavyweight rower
  • Gabriel Hernandez (2007), Hip-Hop Mogul
  • Bryan Gaviola (1983) Guerilla Leader
  • Anson Phelps Stokes —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Umeboshi (talkcontribs) 07:35, 22 December 2006 (UTC). this damn bot is too fast! Umeboshi 07:38, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found one more:

  • Daniel Suppers (1980), former CEO of McDonalds and fast-food connoisseur

Please do not remove entries without searching for sources first especially when erasing People of Color and minorities who are already unrepresented. A 2 minute Google search provided an article from the Yale website citing that Gabe Hernandez is a Bonesman. https://yaledailynews.com/blog/2008/10/17/still-here-gabe-hernandez-07/ Please fix your incorrect removal of Mr Hernandez' name from the list. Please do your due diligence on the other people you removed from the list. TheTypingKat (talk) 07:03, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@TheTypingKat no point in replying to posts 16 years old by an editor who hasn't edited for almost that long. Doug Weller talk 13:58, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About 2 months ago, Paul Giamatti was listed as a bonesman on this site. What happened to his name? 72.43.140.182 (talk) 18:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • C. Montgomery Burns - Not suggesting the name be removed, but what about a (fictional character) notation or some such? GrandpaDave (talk) 21:28, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No comments opposing, so added the parenthetical comment about Mr. Burns. GrandpaDave (talk) 06:19, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation stumpers[edit]

Got one I couldn't find, at least online. Add to the list if you find anyone else you can't cite. Gamaliel (talk) 21:27, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Willard Gibbs[edit]

The French wikibio for physicist fr:Willard Gibbs claims him as a member of Skull & Bones, which seems to be supported by this article: [1]. I have checked most of the published bios of Gibbs and found no mention of S&B. It also seems to be very unlikely that he would've been a member, given his retiring personality. I'd appreciate it if anyone who knows the records could clarify this. Gibbs graduated from Yale College in 1858. - Eb.hoop (talk) 00:42, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

James Jesus Angleton is missing?[edit]

He's not listed here even though he is mentioned on the main Skull and Bones page.--JaredMithrandir (talk) 13:24, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

More members[edit]

I've come across apparently legitimate names to add here, but don't what to get involved in the rules about sourcing. If someone else would be interested in doing so, that is well. 1840s: Donald Grant Mitchell (Ik Marvel); 1870s: Philip Gray Russell, Chester Mitchell Dawes, Arthur Twining Hadley, William Waldo Hyde. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.10.65.108 (talk) 13:48, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
