Award split

[edit]

I'm using the same basic layout as List of awards and nominations received by The Dark Knight as a template, so there's no loyalty by me to how it's split. I think it's easier to read that one long list would be, however. Well, it will be once I get the formatting fixed. All three tables should have the same column sizes, but I think that's something for tomorrow. The tables also need to be sorted, but again ... tomorrow. Ravensfire (talk) 04:05, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

[edit]

I've started to replace the table code with some templates I've created. They're much easier to use than trying to figure out how to do a table and all of the formatting is in the template. We'll get a consistent look across everything. I plan to suggest this to the film project, so please comment if you think anything can be improved. And yes, I do plan a version of these with only four rows (combine ceremony and award) for those article that use that format. Ravensfire (talk) 05:41, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More Awards

[edit]

I really don't have patience to do this. Anyway, for those brave that have: BAFTA, Cinema Audio Society and International Cinephile Society. --Harac (talk) 15:13, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

awards won is greater than nomination

[edit]

this doesn't make sense, the denominator can not be bigger than the numerator. fact check someone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.231.24.124 (talk) 06:39, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rightly or wrongly, the article doesn't count a win as a nomination as well, therefore it is possible to have more wins than nominations. Feudonym (talk) 07:32, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not Paper

[edit]

I realize that "wikipedia is not paper" but how standard is this separate awards page? If this is documented elsewhere on the internet, maybe we should just link it? If not, well okay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.2.131.193 (talk) 04:24, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are currently 31 seperate awards articles. Most of the awards and nominations lists, like this one, grow too long to stay in the main article about the film. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 00:16, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reason why I removed Kathryn Bigelows picture

[edit]

The reason why I removed Kathryn Bigelows picture on the "List of accolades page of the Hurt Locker" is because the page is ment more to be about the film itself. Not the director. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talkcontribs) 18:19, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The poster of the film cannot be used in the infobox as it is non-free, so alternative free images (of the director, actors, writers, etc) are used. Kathryn Bigelow won a number of awards for the film, including the best director academy award (becoming the first woman to win the award), so the picture is perfectly acceptable to use in the infobox. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 20:22, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
During the 2009 film award season the press focused on the contest between Kathryn Bigelow and her ex-husband James Cameron. Since this article is a list accolades for The Hurt Locker, it is highly appropriate and probably more indicative of the content of the article to have a picture of Kathryn Bigelow on the red carpet at the 82nd Academy Awards than other free images. --Dan Dassow (talk) 20:44, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
