Dedicated articles for each bus route?

[edit]

The streetcars routes all have their dedicated article, but it appears that bus routes do not. Perhaps we should add them? Andrepoiy (talk) 03:03, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No. The streetcars are notable, however bus routes aren't. No one cares that a bus route "78 St.Andrews" exists. And I wouldn't make a page for just like 2 of the notable ones, because that would just be annoying for readers.
There are other sites like the cptdb wiki anyway, if they want it, its there. Humulator (talk) 03:48, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Downtown express routes

[edit]

On October 30, 2021, User:Blaixx deleted the downtown express buses (141-145) from the table saying "They do not appear on the TTC website or route maps and there are no service advisories indicating that they are temporarily suspended", which is so. User 184.146.39.97 has reversed that mod saying the routes still appear on service summaries, which is also so. However, I prefer the Blaixx mod since the TTC has removed the downtown express routes from the bus route list and system map on the customer website. Also the TTC has printed maps for bus waiting shelters also omit routes 141-145. So should we delete downtown express routes (again) from the table? @Blaixx, Johnny Au, and Joeyconnick: Please comment. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 01:07, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

From what I understand of our discussion above, deleting them is in keeping with that consensus. —Joeyconnick (talk) 03:26, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Per the reasons discussed at Talk:Toronto streetcar system#Delisted streetcar routes, I am still in favour of removing. BLAIXX 04:31, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Its still online via the Service Summary with the most recent one out from October 2021. I get the point Blaixx the service summaries also listed along with route 176/508/903. —184.146.39.97 (talk) 07:55, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Service Summary is more of an internal document not intended to provide customers with service info. Thus, the TTC might not keep it as up-to-date as pages on the customer website. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 14:58, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:NOTDIRECTORY, it's better to remove downtown express routes. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 15:21, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think we have sufficient agreement to delete 141-145, so I will proceed to do so. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 15:25, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:41, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The list should be sorted on the west-east routes starting with west, then east

[edit]

Currently its east then west. Doesn't make sense. However, that would be really time-consuming to fix. Opinions? Humulator (talk) 03:50, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

TTC 102

I would personally agree with adding it, but please wait for others to reply first as there needs to be consensus. After all, the opinion of one Wikipedian is not a be-all and end-all. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
