Limit list to books which have an article
[edit]I feel that this list should be limited to those books that have an article. This ensures that only notable books would be listed. I have deleted all books without an article. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 08:47, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Entries withheld
[edit]I am starting this section for books which seem to be not quite appropriate for inclusion on the list, but which might be of interest.

One Fish, Two Fish, Crawfish, Bluefish
[edit]Recently, One Fish, Two Fish, Crawfish, Bluefish was removed from the list, with the explanation "it is more of a cookbook than env book". Even though it is a cookbook, it is also an environmental book because the recipes are "specifically chosen for their environmental sustainability".
Furthermore, it empowers consumers to make positive changes which benefit the environment. Many of the changes which consumers can make to benefit the environment are beneficial indirectly, and therefore books about them might be classified in other fields. However, they are still environmental books. -- Wavelength (talk) 04:45, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

FlipTheList
[edit]As a part of #ShutDownAcademia, a group of graduate students has organized an event with the goal of expanding this list (FlipTheList). I've reached out to the organizers and explained our notability rules for books (WP:NBOOK). For now they are compiling a spreadsheet offsite of likely candidates and are including Wikidata Q#s. Hopefully we can wrangle some editors from WikiProject Environment for an article creation drive. If any wayward editors come by here and need help, feel free to send them my way. gobonobo + c 16:30, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
