Temperature

[edit]

Hey folks, eight degrees change in Centigrade does not equal fifty degrees change in Farenheit, not by a long shot (see main article). Oldjackbob (talk) 17:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've resolved this. The convert template was set to the wrong accuracy. -- Jza84 · (talk) 17:23, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Updating this article

[edit]

Like its Manchester counterpart this article needs some serious attention. Unfortunately I'm struggling with sources -especially as I cant seem to get Salford Councils associated planning documents at the moment.

  • The references for the Heart at MediaCity still list it as under-construction (SkyScraperNews) and proposed (Emporis - still lists it as "Building A"). Cant find a reference for it being complete or a year.
  • I have a feeling that "Mediacity Building B" is actually "Number One" MediaCity and again complete.
  • Should Blue and White at MediaCity also be on the list? Possibly also Orange? If anything Blue seems a little taller than The Heart? However, I'm struggling to find details for these.
  • I have update the Approved section. However, it is worth note that planning consent on a number (?3) of these expires in the first half of 2013, the remaining ones appear to have no expiration. A none are particulary recent I'm left wondering if any will be built.

Media City Building B must be NumberOne, as there's no doubt that TheHeart is Media City Building A, and there were only two residential towers proposed for the first phase of building. Not sure about Blue, White and Orange, as I've yet to find anything on their height. Apart from that, the only thing I'm unclear about now is if there are any qualifying high-rises currently in construction. The article currently lists only one, NumberOne, which was clearly finished some time ago, I suspect in 2009, although I've yet to find a source confirming that. OK, here's an update. I've found some info on Blue, and at 86 metres it is indeed now Salford's tallest building, not TheHeart. I'll add it to the tables as I've got no doubt the data I've seen is correct, but I'm still looking for the best quality source I can find, so a citation won't be along until later. I'm afraid I'm going to have to admit defeat in my efforts to find reliable sources for the heights of the newer buildings in MediaCityUK. As a last desperate measure I've emailed Peel Group to see if they can help, but I'm not optimistic. I think I've now done all I can, so what will be will be. • Here's an update I've just received from the Peel Group. Blue is indeed now Salford's tallest building, at 89.7 metres, and Orange, at 58.2 metres also makes the list, which I'll update shortly. Hopefully the planning documents will soon once again be available on Salford City Council's web site, but failing that I could presumably if necessary forward the email I've received from the Peel Group confirming these heights on to OTRS. table of completed buildings

[edit]

The rank section seems to be missing some numbers & some numbers are followed by an =. I am not sure if this is an issue w/ my browser or an issue with the table. 63.230.167.170 (talk) 21:41, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on the tables, so they're a bit in transition at the moment. Malleus Fatuorum 21:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the bother. 63.230.167.170 (talk) 22:15, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No bother at all, as I was already working my way slowly through the article. Malleus Fatuorum 04:00, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
