Requested move 14 October 2016

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Decision is made without prejudice toward a future page move. This title does seem to need disambiguation, whether in parentheses as it is now, or natural disambiguation as suggested by the title "Localist groups in Hong Kong". The nom's suggested title, "Localist groups", is too imprecise and ambiguous to title an article, except perhaps as a broad concept title. Localist groups (Hong Kong)Localist groups – Only one article called "localist groups". Lmmnhn (talk) 10:29, 14 October 2016 (UTC)--Relisting. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 05:12, 25 October 2016 (UTC)--Relisting. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 23:19, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That discussion has no bearing on a generic title like localist group which can refer to localism (dab page) in general or Localism (politics), which is where the redirect should redirect as we already have an article on "localist groups" consistent with books: Regionalism and Rivalry: Japan and the U.S. in Pacific Asia Page 445 "The movement secured the support of nearby localist groups such as the Kemblawarra, Primbee and Mount Kembla Progress Associations.22 Localist politics at Port Kembla was at its most influential" Jeffrey A. Frankel, ‎Miles Kahler - 2007 "urban voters relative to localist groups such as farmers." etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:18, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
