McMillan or Mitchell?
[edit]The last section on the page says that McMillan left by himself to get help, and then the three other survivors tried to get to the lighthouse on their own later. But then it mentions McMillan again as one of the other three. Could this be a confusion between McMillan and Mitchell? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.92.72.130 (talk) 09:04, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'll research and clarify. Spy007au (talk) 09:25, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- OK, McMillan went for help, leaving Fitzpatrick, Simpson and Mitchell behind. Have rectified the error. Cheers, Spy007au (talk) 09:31, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Loch Sloy
[edit]Proper spelling Captain Peter Nicol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.197.5.182 (talk) 14:25, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Have confirmed and fixed the error. Thanks, Spy007au (talk) 07:57, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Infobox error?
[edit]I'm not going to edit this because I know nothing of the subject, but the infobox and the text have completely different dates (including different years) for the occurrence of the wreck. Someone want to look at this? hamiltonstone (talk) 22:34, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up. Have checked the sources and rectifed the discrepancy. Correct date is 24 April 1899. Thanks, Spy007au (talk) 08:10, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Requires some disambiguation?
[edit]I'm new to making edits, so please forgive me if I'm not totally up to speed with the correct procedure - it seems to me that this article is somewhat at odds with the wikipedia principle of 'least astonishment'. In other words - if I am taken to an article on Loch Sloy, then I would likely expect the article to be about the place (not the ship). Therefore I think this article should be about the place (I can create a first-attempt at writing the article), and it should have a link through to the ship article (if that's what people were expecting to find). Any thoughts? 216.239.212.187 (talk) 12:56, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
