DVD

[edit]

The article suggests that "She has recorded her stand-up show The Good Life for a DVD release by independent label Go Faster Stripe". Where was this information sourced from? There is no mention of it on her website or the Go Faster Stripe website. -- JediLofty User ¦ Talk 14:26, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here you are: Lucy Porter DVD at GoFasterStripe. Ralphbk (talk) 12:25, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances

[edit]

This article appears to be mostly an unstructured (and untidy) list of TV appearances by Ms.Porter. Do these make a significant article? Couldn't the whole lot just be replaced with a phrase such as "frequently guests on a variety of comedy quiz shows"? - Ralphbk (talk) 07:59, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't see any mention of it in the article, but she also does a ventriloquist act with a monkey, or am I thinking of another comedienne? -- 86.47.161.201 (talk) 11:11, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're thinking of Nina Conti. ~~ [Jam][talk] 11:50, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

rewrite?

[edit]

This article is more a list of Lucy Porter's achievements I've not seen so many "also's" before it's certainly not one of Wikipedia's shining examples! I can't rewrite this as I do not know Porter and I wouldn't do this article any favours but surely someone must be a fan and cringing enough to sort it out.Amanda138a (talk) 23:10, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It has a strong whiff of PR about it - basically it's a CV. I normally assume articles like this have been written by the subject themselves or their PRs or agents, though this isn't obvious from the article history. --Ef80 (talk) 00:21, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just A Minute

[edit]

Should this article point out that Lucy Porter has appeared on the BBC Radio 4 comedy series Just A Minute?Vorbee (talk) 17:15, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No, appearances on Have I Got News for You, Question Time etc are rarely notable enough for a mention unless they set off significant media coverage discussing it that would meet WP:10YT.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:53, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Height

[edit]
