Stylism

[edit]

Anyone object to the stylism being removed from the title and have Me (band) to help readers? In ictu oculi (talk) 15:37, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ME (band) capitalisation

[edit]

I've reverted [1] part of an edit you made to the lede of ME (band). Whilst I have no preference on the capitalisation of the article title, we do need to be consistent throughout the article, and your edit merely changed the first instance of the band name in the article without changing any others or moving the article. The band themselves seem to be confused on the name as their official Facebook and Twitter pages contradict. However, the article itself does says 'originally written as "[Me]"...now "ME"' with a reference to a magazine article (which seems to support the status quo). @Llew Mawr: why do you think consistency is required? The rules on titles are much stricter than on article content. Having said that there's no objection to you removing the stylism through the article. But as far as the title goes we don't use WP:CAPS for stylisms only for acronyms, cf WP:MOSTM. This isn't an acronym. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:45, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
