delta goodrem[edit]

Delta Goodrem does not play the daughter in this movie. It is Amanda Seyfried, who also starred in Mean Girls.This is a very big flaw in this article. Tweelee (talk) 02:24, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Delta Goodrem, continued[edit]

While all instances of Delta Goodrem's name in the Plot and other sections have been corrected to Amanda Seyfried, in the sidebar and the introduction that begins the article, her name is still listed...looking at the previous comment in this Discussion, it seems that Delta Goodrem's name has been in this article since January, or at least that someone has continuously vandalized it since then. The same vandal has been putting in references to songs that didn't appear in the movie, like "Candle in the Wind" and "The Bitch is Back" - please be vigilant, everyone! CNash (talk) 10:55, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Karaoke[edit]

I just saw this movie and it had karaoke-style song-texts along the bottom. I have never seen this on a movie. I don't know know if this addition is unique, rare or standard on this type of movie. Domestic Gross?[edit]

The opening paragraph states it's the highest grossing musical internationally, but is followed by a sentence citing Grease as the highest grossing musical 'domestically'. I assume that this refers to the US. But am I correct in saying that Wikipedia needs a country neutral tone, so using Domestic gross is a mistake? I didn't want to remove it without checking. Sequel[edit]

I would just like to bring up the topic of the sequel as no one has. I have seen that on numeours websites that the sequel is not happening as most of the cast members stating that they would not do one. I have also heard that they planned to due a sequel but cover another bands material. Other than that I think that more research would have to be done to find answers. 30 Rock episode[edit]

Outdated Box Office Records[edit]

I'm not really qualified to make a change like this, so I'm just bringing this to the attention of someone who knows how to cite the new material properly. The Box Office section talks about the film as being the most successful British-made film and the highest-grossing film in the UK. Skyfall has broken both of those records, though the info is already wrong in that it doesn't agree with the other, better-cited article ranking the most successful films in the UK, of which Mama Mia is 6th. I don't know if, because it isn't even in the top 3 anymore, this part of the box office section should be deleted entirely. It's up to whoever wants to go to the trouble of editing this.

Mamma Mia is remake[edit]

The musical that the film Mamma Mia is based on was itself based on the 1968 movie Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell, as is mentioned in the Gina Lollobrigida Wikipedia entry. Plot summary word count?[edit]

WP:FILMPLOT recommends that plot summaries be between 400-700 words. I'm generally a strong proponent of this guideline, but am not sure it's feasible or necessarily advisable for this film, given that it's a musical (simply including the song titles leads to a significant increase in word-count). If other editors want to take a pass at shortening the summary, I'm hardly going to object, but in this case I'd like to propose that we reach a consensus to waive the guideline, with the stipulation that the word count should remain under 800 words. UK Sales Of The 'Mamma Mia!' DVD/Blu-ray[edit]

The Official UK Charts Company has announced, (Thursday 12th July 2018), that since its UK release, in November 2008, the DVD/Blu-ray of 'Mamma Mia!' has sold 5,780,000 copies in that Country. By far the biggest selling DVD/Blu-ray ever, in that territory.
