This is NOT an accurate description of the origin of the surname Marcano! This article should either be corrected or erased.
It is not a description of the origin of the surname Marcano. It is an article on four brothers that were important in the history of Cuba.Callelinea03:37, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As a direct decendant of the brothers Marcano I can say that the surname origins are in fact accurate and I will add that family origin began in Italy and as paid soldiers went to spain and settled there. The Marcanos making soldiering a family trade found work on ships heading to the new world. The Brothers Marcano family paintings and pictures and "official" documents have decorated our family homes for hundreds of years and still do today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HaroldMarcano (talk • contribs) 14:31, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
