Requested move
[edit]With two other very prominent people of the same name, I'm unconvinced the footballer fulfils WP:PRIME. I therefore recommend this article moves to Mark Davies (footballer), so that this page can become a disambig page. --Dweller (talk) 11:30, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I support the move as I don't think someone who's played a couple of dozen matches for a team in the second tier of football in England is obviously more notable than a bishop or a cricketer. Nev1 (talk) 13:45, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Support, there are several other notable cricketing Mark Davies out there (aside from Mark Davies (cricketer) for which articles will surely follow. The footballer is only just satisfying notability, and does not really fulfil WP:PRIME per Dweller above. –MDCollins (talk) 14:57, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Mark Davies League Goalscoring Record for Leicester
[edit]Just pointing out in regards to Davies's league apps/goals for Leicester in the infobox, that in some records (such as soccerbase and the OS) Bruno Berner's goal vs Carlisle on 13 December 2008, is mistakenly given as Mark Davies' goal. If anyone watches it, it is definitely Berner's goal, Davies isn't even involved, some records have just gotten the players mixed up. The OS's match report even says that it was Berner who scored then notes it for Davies for some reason. Rothman's and the BBC site are 2 sources that got it correct for example. Just posting to say that in totalling up Davies' apps/goals, remember he scored 1 league goal for Leicester in the 2008-09 season and not 2. --MIR17 (talk) 19:36, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
