Archaeologists

[edit]

Archaeologists are listed under scientists on this page and the Women scientists WP banner has been added to the talk pages for many women archaeologists. Archaeology is more of a science than it used to be but has not been traditionally thought of as one.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 20:23, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, but I don't think it was very scientific when she was involved. I don't feel strongly about it but nothing I have read about her indicates she was of a scientific bent. I think she was more of a linguist and historian. Philafrenzy (talk) 20:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I added WPWS here because of the examples found on other articles; I don't think it is a good idea to group archaeologists with scientists unless they specalise in applying another science to archaeology.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 21:32, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
