- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Hhkohh (talk) 01:01, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Seems a common name Hhkohh (talk) 01:01, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Hhkohh: How do you reconcile your position with our book-specific guideline, WP:SUBTITLE, which states:
Usually, a Wikipedia article on a book (or other medium, such as a movie, TV special or video game) does not include its subtitle in the Wikipedia page name, per WP:CONCISE. The only exception to that is short article titles, for disambiguation purposes.

- WP:SUBTITLE is not a policy, just a guideline, see also WP:COMMONNAME and other related policy Hhkohh (talk) 09:43, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support I see no issue with the requested move, and it abides by the given guideline. -- AlexTW 03:38, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support it seems that the term "Mashpee Nine" originates with the book and was not in common use to refer to the subject of the book beforehand. power~enwiki (π, ν) 04:53, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. There's the Mashpee Nine themselves, an actual group of people. Then there's this book, "Mashpee Nine: A Story of Cultural Justice". ANd there's also the documentary "Mashpee Nine: The Beat Goes On". If you refashion the article to cover all these topics (which makes sense since they're interlinked), then there would be a case to move. But right now it's only about the book. — Amakuru (talk) 10:00, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose cited guideline does not apply as disambiguation and long title are clearly beneficial to readers here, and in cases without (book) WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT works for short titles. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:29, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - guideline cited was based on a flawed assumption. Books and other media items are usually referred to the first time by the full long name and then for brevity, just continue using the short version. --Gonnym (talk) 21:58, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
