Cricketer and date of death
[edit]According to the Cricinfo website, Maurice Tompkin not only played football for the various clubs in the article, but also played first class cricket for Leicestershire between 1938 and 1956. He also played for the MCC against Pakistan in three matches during the 1955/56 season.
