College Speaker
[edit]According to this [1] Brooks is the #5 most wanted college speaker today. Is this enough to get mentioned in the article? Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 20:51, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Does he ever publicly admit his books are fiction? I saw a video of his college talks where he says he's serious and so forth lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.193.177.126 (talk) 22:07, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Edit needed
[edit]When asked at a lecture at Case Western Reserve University whether he preferred the movie History of the World Part I or Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Brooks picked the latter, stating his long-time love of Leslie Nielsen.[citation needed]
Seriously?
Get rid of this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.63.42.136 (talk) 00:50, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Its been needing a citation for almost a year so it should be deleted. By the way this is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit so feel free to do it yourself next time. Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 01:33, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Note Brooks' own disinclination towards the horror classification (noted in NYT article — http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/23/magazine/max-brooks-is-not-kidding-about-the-zombie-apocalypse.html?pagewanted=3&hp). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.6.224.105 (talk) 22:21, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
creation of the zombie virus
[edit]Brooks has been credited with the theoretical construct of the colmunin strain of rabies, which he claims can reanimate corpses into 'zombies.' There is much speculation concerning the vaalidity of this argument however we will have to wait and see when the apocalypse comes stumbling and moaning to our front doors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.19.99.208 (talk) 14:39, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
General Notability
[edit]As per the claim of inadequete notability to have an article, I volunteer the following information.
- If books sold factors into the equation, both of his books undoubtedly qualify. I believe the Guide went fairly high up on the NYT Best Sellers list. World War Z might have as well.
- The greenlighting of the World War Z movie, surely to be a film with a budget of over $100 million from comments made about the scale of the scenes and the special effects costs, is verified and notable.
- That, in combination with his bit parts, comedy writing, famous parents and voice work should put him over the top.

The Extinction Parade: An Original Zombie Story by Max Brooks
[edit]- From Max Brooks, bestselling author of World War Z, an original story about a global war between humans and zombies seen through the eyes of Vampires. Or you can just call it the vampire version of An Inconvenient Truth., thedailybeast.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.145.6.158 (talk) 11:25, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Max Brooks attended American University
[edit]Perhaps he transferred? Either way, the Uni credit is not complete.
