[edit]No citations or dead links for the following:
In 2007 while performing as a support act for fellow Cork musician John Spillane, Spillane's representation Verge management happened across Flannery and noted his raw talent. Record companies soon expressed interest.[citation needed]
He is known for shying away from the spotlight and the press and his onstage presence reflects that of a man who does not revel in being the centre of attention.[citation needed]
- Flannery plays his guitar with the strings arranged in the normal order for a right-handed guitar player, but plays the guitar upside down because he is left-handed, unlike Jimi Hendrix who restrung the guitar for playing left-handed. i.e. a right-handed player could play Flannery's guitar but not Hendrix's. Others who perform using this method include Cecil Womack of Womack and Womack.
- Flannery is also a former member of the rock band Black Orange.
- Flannery wrote and performed music for the CSN Dramask production of Bertolt Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle which ran in the Granary Theatre for two weeks. The Irish Examiner described the soundtrack as "superb".[citation needed]
- First broadcast on January 31, 2007, The Ballad of Patrick Folan, a documentary on RTE Radio 1, had its music written and recorded by Flannery.[1][1]

How did this article become a "Good article"? Parts of it are awful, especially the Personal Life section, it would make you want to vomit.
Some of the stuff above (cited or otherwise) that was removed from the article is infinitely more interesting than some of the cited (just because a newspaper has written something doesn't guarantee its value / interest to a reader) information within the article.
Oh well.
