Requested move

[edit]

This page used to be called Mike Hawthorne. Recently:

  • this page was moved to Mike Hawthorne (comic book artist), and
  • Mike Hawthorne was converted to a disambiguation page in the mistaken belief (by another editor) that racing driver Mike Hawthorn also had an "e" on the end of his surname. I propose that this page be moved back to Mike Hawthorne, over the new disambiguation page, thereby satisfying all the links which still point to Mike Hawthorne (none of the links were updated when the page was renamed). • Yeah I agree with this one. At the top of the article simply put, if you were looking for the race car driver see here, and that eliminates any confusion. --Thε Rαnδom Eδιτor (tαlk) 19:15, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Support move per discussion. feydey 10:50, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Support Googling does seem to show this is the only Mike Hawthorne but it is interesting to note Mike Hawthorn gets swept up in those results. There is also a Micheal Hawthorne (and American Football player for the St Louis Rams) so if you were going to do this via hatnotes you might end up with a bit of a mess. What I'd suggest is moving this back to Mike Hawthorne and hatnoting Mike Hawthorn. If someone ever makes a Michael Hawthorne then create a disambiguation page "Mike Hawthorne (disambiguation)" because anyone looking for Mike Hawthorne is going to be looking specifically for this guy. The only reason they'd be looking for one of the others is through an error and that is a poor reason for moving this (worth noting the naming is also poor (comics) or (artist) is preferred in the Comics Project) and this would have to be moved one way or the other and putting it back seems the best idea. This page was moved back to the original title (but not by me) as the result of this move request. Dekimasuよ! 09:47, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
