Birth date
[edit]A number of sources give December 2nd 1) Ukrainian wikipedia 2) Ulyanovsk wiki: [1] 3) [2] 4) days.peoples.ru [3] ...
The person's website says December 8th, all official bios say 8th December. Obviously, according to this pattern there is little doubt that he was indeed born on the eighth. So where does this 2nd come from? There are two reasons why the second of December is often found: 1) it could be a joke derived from his nickname "Misha 2 procent" 2) on December 2nd, 2000, Kasyanov was the "hero of the Day" (Герой дня) on the NTV programme with Svetlana Sorokina. I suppose he was then congratulated on his coming birthday, and that may have induced some Russian internauts to think that day was his birthday. 3) Both of the above: started with the TV show, then got perpetuated by the nickname.
Any edit changing to 2nd December should be reverted as vandalism. --Paul Pieniezny (talk) 01:07, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Incomplete
[edit]It would be nice if this article mentioned something about his career before he became Prime Minister of Russia. I can not tell if the current article is chronology correct; but I got the feeling it could be better... — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 17:15, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- I did some patching it up. — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 17:37, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
This article states that Kasyanov was succeeded by Viktor Khristenko, but this is incorrect, he was succeeded by Mikhail Fradkov as Prime Minister...Khristenko is Russian Minister for industry and was the first deputy prime minister, never prime minister. I do not know how to edit that fact file part of the page so... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.143.2.23 (talk) 16:19, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/russian-sex-tape-1.3526425
CBC News in Canada investigated in depth the airing on Russian state-controlled news television of a video tape clearly meant to humiliate Mr. Kasyanov - showing him having sex with a mistress and criticising fellow opposition figures while in his own home. He and his mistress allege that the audio recordings span some six months. The investigation by the CBC strongly and persuasively suggests that this was almost certainly the complex and well funded work of a state organisation. It fits within a pattern of other similar examples of "Kompromat" sex videos of other opposition figures (see "Katya" story - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/7639592/Amateur-model-known-as-Katya-revealed-as-Russian-honeytrap-bait.html). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.23.64.175 (talk) 02:17, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
