Ming JieBrent Hsu – "Ming Jie" by itself is the incorrect romanization of the person's name, which should be Hsu Ming-chieh as shown in IMDb; additionally, Hsu has been using "Brent Hsu" as his English name and stage name, with his own Instagram name as @brenthsu. Regarding the Romanization of the name of Brent Hsu

[edit]

@Serols and 108.56.139.120: The Chinese name of Brent Hsu is "許明杰", which is widely used and can be easily found in media sources and their own social media name, also found in SpeXial. With his social media names, it can be found that the romanization of his surname as "Hsu", and as stated in Xu (surname 許), follows the Wade–Giles romanization, thus also romanizing their given name with the same system as "Ming-chieh". Hsu formerly used "Matthew" as their stage name, later changing it to "Brent" as of now. I am unable to find English sources for the name, and I am not sure whether Chinese sources would suit well for this case. --LuciferianThomas (talk) 08:31, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LuciferianThomas, if you have no relevant sources, you cannot change the name. I already wrote that to you on your talk page. --Serols (talk) 10:20, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
