Occupation[edit]

The nobility infobox contains information about occupation of the noble people. If somebody was noble that does not mean they could not have an occupation. Unless nobody presents valid reason for removal information about occupation of Golem within reasonable time period I will return it to the infobox.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 08:49, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Being a noble it is not an occupation. Moisi Golemi had his own man in arms and acted independently in his domains. It was only during the battles that he joined Scanderbeg. It is like saying that Vlatko Vuković occupation was commander of Tvrtko I of Bosnia. It simply does not make sense to have an occupation column for such figures Aigest (talk) 10:09, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment actually supports my position. You are of course right that being a noble is not an occupation. That is exactly why there is additional field in the infobox for occupation of noble person.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 10:54, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The subject is meaningless even as a debate issue. Noblemen fought, but that's not an occupation and readers can find the same details on the lead, so don't clog the infobox unnecessarily.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 11:37, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't fully agree with you. In case of some noble people who administered their countries you are maybe right. Every medieval emperor, king or lord who administered his possessions had important administrative occupation which is incorporated in his noble position. That is not the case with noble people whose noble position is predominantly based on their occupation. Like in case of military commanders who served their feudal lords for money, like Golem did. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 14:04, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lordship of Golemi[edit]

@Aigest, you wrote that Golemi "was a feudal lord on his own" when you removed his occupation from the infobox. Will you please clarify what the territory ruled by Moisi Arianit Golemi and was the name of his country?--Antidiskriminator (talk) 14:27, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Diber region. Lord of both Upper and Lower Diber link. That is how he is described. Aigest (talk) 08:29, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. Will you please be so kind to check when exactly he was lord of the Diber region and what was the name of his lordship?--Antidiskriminator (talk) 08:37, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth[edit]

There is no historical evidence, that he was born in the city of modern Debar. What we know is, that he was born in the Dibër region, which is broader, than the city of Debar. The Dibër region is in modern Albania and North Macedonia. Squatrazustradin (talk) 07:52, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Squatrazustradin[reply]
