"I am a Bangladeshi citizen. I know Mr. Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury well. He is a reputed journalist worked as Press Secretary to the President for 3 years. Mr. Mukhles was appointed as Adviser (Minister of State) to the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh as well as the Chief Adviser of the Government Professor Iajuddin Ahmed on November 13, 2006.[2] During Novemver-December 2006 caretaker government when severe unrest in Bangladesh due to uncertainty of general election[3] Mr. Mukhles performed historical role of Special Envoy of President with two top leaders Begum Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina of two major parties BNP and Bangladesh Awami League. His charismatic role was succeed to bring all parties of Bangladesh to Parliamentary election till 26th December 2006, though it could not sustain up to end due to big conspiracy named "One Eleven". In 1996 same political stalemate was negotiated by Commonwealth Secretary General's special envoy Sir Ninian Stephen and was failed.

Mr. Chowdhury is a very well known figure among political field, government, journalist and newspaper. Morever he is writer of 2 books and publisher of two books. He is a writer of hundreds of column. He is very well known for his high opposed role against General Moeen U Ahmed's emergency power misuse during 2007-2008 caretaker government. His interviews were published in many famous Newspapers in "Thikana", "Akhon Samoy" (New York), Probashi Voice, Bengali Newspapers of London.

I would request not to delete this page as this contains many important information which will help to know about Bangladesh. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fazlulbari (talk) 02:38, 4 September 2009‎ (UTC)[reply]

rewriting needed

[edit]

Unless you remove the minor position, the promotional language, the repetitions of his name, and the irrelevancies about his family, this article is likely to experience serious difficulties in getting established here. Perhaps you could rewrite it retaining only the parts that you consider actually notable. I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. For further advice, see our guide to writing Wikipedia articles, and WP:BIO. Don't see any dispute

[edit]

I don't see any dispute or neutrality complain. How to resolve disputes? Ragib should keep here a litmus paper to measure the neutrality. Rubbish. (Smileybeing (talk) 03:45, 2 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Somebody should go to Bangladesh to see the facts rather than living abroad. Which is historic role that must be describe that that somebody may not like this as it is not the appropriate subject. Also statecraft is difficult to some people. Any body can edit. (Smileybeing (talk) 04:11, 2 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Sad! Why you have deleted Smileybeings's comment? Without knowing Mukhles & his role in Bangabhaban, don't try to make comments, use tag, ask citations. There are more than 160 million people live in Bangladesh who knows about 1/11. You haven't been in statecraft. Being a writer & now being administrator you just became partisan. If you were in favour of democracy, could not write against democracy saver. You never write against anti state elements & rather support them. You are a supporter of constitution violator & illegal occupier of Bangladesh, those who arrested two popular top leaders of Bangladesh. What access do you have in statecraft? Every one should be within his limitation and jurisdiction. Being a Bangladeshi you have been in anti state subversive

You don't know the mystery of Bangladesh history. Try to understand why Sheikh Hasina allowed Mukhles in a close door meeting in Suda Sadan and sent her emissaries to him those who met Chowdhury, discussed & solve impasses and amicable settlement was there. By this solution was there & Awmi League led grand alliance joined elections of 22 January afterwards. General Moeen & his associates made Ershad disqualified by giving a sentence & cancelled nominations in short cut process & halted Bangladesh for 2 years. How democracy of Bangladesh was hampered, constitution was violated and above all undemocratic forces were encouraged by anti state elements is a wide subject of thesis in PhD research and many are doing so in home and abroad. Everybody should not get into all subjects which is not his one. For one's PhD on Governance, Statecraft, Military intervention in Bangladesh etc. he may be one of the best subjects.

You must understand that Mukhles Chowdhury was Adviser to President of Bangladesh while the President was also Chief Adviser means Prime Minister or Head of the Government and during normal period Prime Minister & his or her Cabinet is jointly accountable to the Parliament and during that time of Caretaker Government they were accountable to the President. President was Commander in Chief and Supreme Commander of Armed Forces. Moreover that time constitutionally Defence Ministry was also bestowed upon the President. In normal time, President can't sack Prime Minister and the Government, even can't dissolve the Parliament without the approval of PM. But During Caretaker period President can sack Head of Government and his Council.

Before writing on Bangladesh situation, Chief Adviser and his Advisory Council are just to oversee the Governmental route affair or day to day function. Election Commission, Judiciary Auditor & Comptroller General and all constitutional bodies are to report the President or Head of the State. During Caretaker Government number of Adviser in the Government is 10. Besides, in the regular Government it is about 60 like now. That time since President was also Head of the Government he appointed Mukhles Chowdhury the only Adviser, where now 7 Advisers are working. Additionally, 3 Special Assistants are also there. That time President was also in charge of Foreign Ministry, now which have 6 Minister, Advisers and Ambassadors are in job. Mukhles had to do all these responsibilities alone in statecraft which you need to know. Try to understand the velocity of his historic performances as well as success stories which were obstructed by heinous power hungry Army and so called Civil Society people. If Chowdhury have not stopped Martial Law taking help from US Ambassador & UN now Army would have been in power. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brokenbangladesh (talkcontribs) 19:33, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hei, what are you doing, kidding? you can't dictate anybody that from where who will participate. Without knowing anybody you can't comment as sockpuppets. Are We not discuss about the writing? I don't have other business with you. You are pocking your nose and searching for reliable sources. Go to the page & read all the references given. I & you participated on the dialogoue. But you termed it as monologue. Mind you before advising others to be in cool head while editin, you must maintain same. Who are you to judge the age of others? We must remember that at the age of 24 one can be Wiki Administrator and Emperror Akbar went throne at the age of 12, Sheikh Mujib became Minister at 34 years, Ziaur Rahman became in the Statecraft at 39 & President at 41, Benajir Bhutto became PM at 35 & Bill Clinton at 41 years. You have questioned his notablity, in your eyes those who are notable, ask them how notable he is? You are keeping all positive comments about you in talk page & deleting other comments which do not please you, is very unfair. You are putting tags on others & do not honour others view at the same time. Judge yourself. (Brokenbangladesh (talk) 21:22, 2 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

We know how much honest and harmless personality Mukhles Sir is. Some retired high officials. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.167.180.87 (talk) 17:30, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  1. ^ Dear Sir, Please be advised that this page of Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury is one of the most important as well as distinguished pages. He has been a statesman who had to run the country in a very risky and critical situation ever faced Bangladesh politically. Constitutionally the country was being run while Mukhles Chowdhury was at the helm of agffairs of Bangladesh. Chowdhury's basic characteristic is he never compromised with evil forces and all along he fought against misdeeds and he is a very liberal and moderate politician, who wants to change Bangladesh and he has vision and mission in this regard. For the sake of power some military people used false rumour against him e.g. he was overdoing, what was outright rejected by Advisors of Caretaker Government (CTG) Sultana Kamal, Dr Akbar Ali Khan, Mahbubul Alam and others. Some journalists acted against him while he was in power just out of jealousy whereas he has provided all possible help and cooperation for journalists as well as for all sections pf people of Bangladesh irrespective of caste, creed, race, religion etc. It has been proved that he was not a 'Hawa Bhaban' man. Rather 'Hawa Bhaban' people including Harris Chowdhury, Kazi Searj of Dinkal ousted him from the Daily Dinkal. There was a myth made by so called journalists that he was promoted by that Harris Chowdhury, who was his enemy. Some newspapers including Daily Star, Janakantha and Inqilab wrote that fabricated stories. Military officials imposed press censorship on 11 January 2007 in Bangladesh and then he was powerless. But a section of newspapers did run the 'fabricated' campaign that Chowdhury did it. This media also made stories that he pressured administration to include some books in their buying list, which administrators categorically disowned about the merit and they made it clear that there was no decesion made and he did not give any such pressure. Recently, in Bangladesh there was a Rail Station named after Meber of Parliament (MP) Advocate Matiur Rahman Talukder (Advocate Matiur Rahman Talukder Rail Sttation) and there was no problem. A Paurasava was named Farukpara after a Deputy Commissioner's name and Jafarganj after DC's name in similar way in Bangladesh and it did not create any problem. In Sylhet, there is a market named Hassan Market made after a DC's name and it is acclaimed. Near Tungi area of Bangladesh there is an area called Cherag Ali and it is also undisputed. But when centring Mukhles Chowdhury's own area became Mokhlesganj Paurasava comprising adjoining areas then there was a hue and cry by some jealous people. Mokhlesganj was made long time ago. The area was developed by Mokhlesganj Development Council. When Mukhles Chowdhury was Press Secretary then there was no problem for all concerned. But when he became the Advisor and Minister then it made many unhappy. President Iajuddin Ahmed told concerned people that Mokhles Chowdhury achieved his position by dint of his prudence, performance and qualifications. Allah helped him and he did not compromise with anyone did unfair things. He has contacts with Khaleda Zia and not with Hawa Bhaban. Simultaneously, he has contacts with Sheikh Hasina. He has mediated political stalemate and involved all stakeholders in it including Advisors of Caretaker Government, Political Leaders, Civil Society, International Actors etc. If he agreed he could have been the President and as he refused at least he could be the Chief Advisor instead of Fakhruddin Ahmed as was offered. Military leaders tried to take him in their side since he was trusted to the President and was doing everything for the government and he had experience of governance and he was legitimiate as has already been in power and has good contact with the politicians that include Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina. Fakhruddin begged to be the Advisor, not Chief Advisor of CTG to him prior to formation of CTG in October 2006 and in December 2006 when 4 Advisors resigned. Mukhles Chowdhury only fear Allah and is a thorough honest human being, which was also proved by several military and civil enquiries. He should be regarded as he deserves. It is everybdy's duty to respect and honour the respected and honourable persons. By this honour giver also became honoured and Allah does not send good people in the land where people do not respect their son of the soil. In the backdrop af aforesaid statement, we do fervently appeal to the authority and administrator of Wikipedia to withdraw the tags from the page of Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury. Thanks. Best wishes Faruq, Ahmed and Don 19.59 17/07/2012.×
