"Engineer" description

[edit]

A recent edit removed the word "engineer" from the opening sentence of this article stating "The article shows no evidence that she ever served in the profession of engineer, separate from her more notable role as an astronaut. Merely having a degree in the field is does not support that description in the opening sentence of a biography." We aren't talking about someone with a bachelors degree that immediately went towards the business side of engineering, Currie has a PhD in Industrial Engineering. As the article states, she serves as "Principal Engineer for the NASA Engineering and Safety Center." With all this in mind, I see zero issue using the word "engineer" in the opening sentence.--RadioFan (talk) 11:38, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
