Birth year

[edit]

@Xxsamuraixx: Two (2) reliable sources are given for Yamada's birth year of 1984, [1] and [2]. The first one mentions that she was 34 at the time the article was written in July 2019, and seeing as how her birthday is November 28, that means she was born in 1984. If this wasn't clear enough, the second source actually gives her birth year as 1984, so there's no disputing it.-- 00:11, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not very good at English so I may not communicate well.

Japanese journalists are irresponsible, so both sources are incorrect information. Born in 1984 When I entered my home school in 2009, I was mistaken in age, and it became widespread on the Internet.

She has never published her year of birth in a public place.

However, the year of entry is a good hint. If she was born in 1984, she graduated from a Japanese university as early as 2006. However, she joined Kyoto Animation in 2004. From this, you can see at least that she was not born in 1984.

According to this information, if she made a 2009 work when she was 34, she would not have been born in 1984. [3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xxsamuraixx (talkcontribs) 15:44, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Xxsamuraixx (talkcontribs) 15:12, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:NOTTRUTH. Until there is a verifiable source that says she wasn't born in 1984, there are still reliable sources that do, and that's all that matters as far as Wikipedia is concerned. It doesn't harm Yamada to state she was born in 1984 even if it is in error, and if it is, it wouldn't be hard for her to correct it with as little as a tweet.-- 20:22, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Possible problems with context in some of the sources

[edit]

I have long wanted to correct this point, given that the article contained an original conclusion that contradicted both the source itself and the idea from Yamada-sensei’s interview, in fact giving her thought the opposite semantic conclusion.

But I'm interested in something else. I was confused that the talk about her work and subsequent questions posed were compiled as if Yamada was directly discussing the mentioned "overt romantic connotations" in the film, when in various materials and interviews directly about the Liz and Blue Bird itself, she repeatedly stated that Liz should not be perceived as a clear love story or a clear friendship story, since she wanted to convey Mizore and Nozomi as living girls with living experiences, the interpretation of which is not imposed by the author and depends on your understanding of it. The source does not provide the full text of the interview, so I got the impression that the compilation was somewhat confusing, although the question itself and the personal answer did not raise any questions or complaints in me.

The same goes for the text about her portrayal of male protagonists; when compared to the source attached to this, the text in the article seems to shift the emphasis somewhat, cutting her off mid-sentence, simply making it seem like she doesn't understand and therefore avoids portraying male characters. While in the source, her thought continues and she talks about how Koe no Katachi changed her relationship and eliminated such fears. Solaire the knight (talk) 18:44, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
