Proposed move

[edit]

To National Artist of Thailand as per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (country-specific topics) and of the category to Category:National Artists of Thailand. If the page is moved, the category should be tagged for a speedy rename without the need to go through CfD. --Paul_012 (talk) 17:03, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll assume a non-controversial move for both the page and the category. --Paul_012 (talk) 08:07, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

National artist stripped of title

[edit]

Leading literary intellectual Suchart Sawasdsri has reportedly been stripped of his National Artist for Literature title by the national culture Committee, due to his " inappropriate behaviour " in connection with his support for protests over political reforms. This shocking development undermines and repudiates the legitimacy of the Awards. Julian spindler (talk) 06:09, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
