Why

Splitting the article

[edit]

These are two different topics and as such, should be discussed in two separate articles. It is a public holiday in Qatar, thus it is clearly notable enough to have a stand-alone article. On the other hand, in India, it is not treated a public holiday, so I am unsure of its notability (it doesn't seem notable). Eventually, I'll get around to creating an article for the public holiday in Qatar, after which I think this article should either: serve as a disambiguation page (as there are two entirely different events with the same name) or be deleted. We wouldn't be able to create a comprehensive article like National Day since there are only two 'National Sports Days' and are immensely dissimilar. Elspamo4 (talk) 18:55, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Japan

[edit]

There's no Japan section, but it is a public holiday October 10.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 23:46, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kintetsubuffalo, the Japanese public holiday is covered at Health and Sports Day. I do not like the title of that article, but I suspect it is something a bureaucrat in Tokyo extracted from a dictionary many years ago, so we may be stuck with it. But given there is a separate article, I think that only a very short paragraph is needed here, which I've added.AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 06:44, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
