The request to rename this article to Nebraska Initiative 424 has been carried out. |
Nebraska Civil Rights Initiative 424 → Nebraska Initiative 424 –
- per refs. WP:PRECISION and WP:COMMONNAME 82.132.228.222 (talk) 21:01, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Support – New York Times calls it "Initiative 424." Never mind that initiative 424 by itself doesn't give a clue on what it's about. "Civil Rights" is downright misleading. The measure, in effect, banned affirmative action at the state level. Not exactly what I think of when I think of Civil Rights. Orwell rolls in his grave. This really completes the marginalization of Nebraska ballot initiatives on Wikipedia. Two articles, titled by terse, meaningless numbers, in categories all by themselves. At least we're consistent. Sigh. Wbm1058 (talk) 18:44, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
