NPOV

[edit]

This article should properly be titled "Eliezer Schweid's view of Zionism." It gives no other points of view. It does not, for example, cite Anita Shapira, who has written about the question. Many paragraphs being "According to Schweid." At present, it is not an encyclopedia article about negation of the Diaspora, but rather a summary of Schweid's views, and is nothing more than anti-Zionist propaganda. What this article needs

[edit]

I put in the current tag, although it doesn't really describe the article's problems, because it's the closest one available. This article needs answers to the following questions: 1. Who originated the idea of "negation of the Diaspora", and when? 2. Was this idea found in writings of religious Jews? 3. Were there any important thinkers before the late 19th century who proposed this idea? 4. How important was this idea to the thinkers mentioned - was it central or peripheral to their thought? 5. How influential was this idea on political leaders? 6.. How did religious Jews react to this idea? 7. How did secular Jews and nonJews react to this idea? This article should contrast "negation of the diaspora" with the diaspora nationalism movement and perhaps include a short discription of diaspora nationalism. Article makes no sense

[edit]

Hi. This article makes no sense whatsoever. First it mixes the historical diaspora with the modern-day concept of diaspora. The second sentence just makes no sense whatsoever to the average reader. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 11:43, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Should diaspora be capitalized?

[edit]

It is not capitalized the vast majority of the time at the Jewish diaspora page. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 22:15, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
