Net Neutrality template

[edit]

I have created a net neutrality template based on those already in the n.n. articles. The template can be edited at [1]--SasiSasi (talk) 23:56, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CRTC hearings

[edit]

I'm not actively researching this subject or contributing to this page, but those who are might be interested in this link from the CBC about net neutrality hearings:

Clean up

[edit]

I have removed a bunch of repeated links per WP:OVERLINK. "In general, link only the first occurrence of an item."

Also, per WP:ELPOINTS, "external links should not normally be used in the body of an article. Instead, include appropriate external links in an "External links" section at the end and/or in the appropriate location within an infobox or navbox."

Finally, if a bill is introduced by a private member, it is a "private member's bill" (and not capitalized), if more than one bill is introduced by more than one private member, then we have "private members' bills" -- see the Parliament of Canada glossary. Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Network neutrality which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 16:13, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments for opponents please

[edit]

The "Opponents" section only states a dogma as an argument : "network diversity/neutrality (...) should be determined by market forces, not regulation"... The only available counter-argument for such a dogmatic position, would be to debate the "philosophy behind such religion", to demonstrate that the Universe is not so deterministic (as if it was written from the time God decided so, a long long while ago, and as such we don't need to regulate ourselves).... And also to demonstrate that market pseudo-laws (because we're talking about "laws" and not "mechanisms" when it comes to money with these bigots), have nothing to do with human Evolution nor humanity in general, but all to do with some competition for some deranged control-freak to grab the helm, monopolize it and impose its diktats over the rest (even animals don't behave like this). They are jealous of monarchical mentalities, and have Democracy in aberration, that's how their market "laws" tell them to behave...... IN BRIEF (lol) : there should be more than this sole argument on the opponents side, more meat please. --HawkFest (talk) 14:45, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January Net Neutrality ruling

[edit]

CRTC ruled in favour of net neutrality on an issue to do wit internet apps and television in late January. The page hasn't been updated since before then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.141.168.108 (talk) 17:49, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Net neutrality in Canada. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
