"Also known as ginge"

[edit]

"Also known as Ginge" - I find this hard to believe (she may be called that by others in a derogatory way, but I'm not sure she would be referred to as that by friends of family. (And as being ginger myself, I would hate being called that) Jamandell (d69) 15:07, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks

[edit]

Least Attractive of the group is an opinion. Should be removed?

Absolutely. Jamandell (d69) 16:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

She's not single

[edit]

Oh yeah!!! Look at paparazzi! pictures!

Birthplace

[edit]

Currently the article states she was born in Stamford, Lincolnshire, and Runcorn, Cheshire. Which is correct ? Derek R Bullamore (talk) 08:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to IMDB, she was born in Stanford. However, a Google around reveals both Stanford, Stamford and Runcorn. The GA site appears to be playing up since I can't get onto Nicola's profile on the site to confirm which one it is. ~~ [Jam][talk] 08:46, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She was born in Runcorn —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.71.36.149 (talk) 20:20, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source? ~~ [ジャム][talk] 21:06, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birth index, now present, proves she was born in Stamford, Lincolnshire - births are registered in the borough they took place. Official records such as that outdo any other sources. She grew up in Runcorn. F W Nietzsche (talk) 05:52, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Drugs and alcohol

[edit]

How on earth do you "consider" turning to drugs and alcohol.

She either did or she didn't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.144.191.35 (talk) 15:18, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can consider anything. She didn't turn to them, but she thought about doing it. Its a simple thing to understand. 92.10.193.227 (talk) 18:19, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request: Filmography

[edit]

Two edits requested to this section:

I almost 100% convinced that The Truth About Tanning was filmed in 2009, but aired in 2010 so should probably be under the year 2010.

Then can her role as a guest jusdge on Britain's Next Top Model also be included in the filmography section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.165.248 (talk) 11:25, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The area where Nicola grew up

[edit]

Living in Runcorn for 48 years, and knowing where Nicola lived and the secondary school she attended, it is most definitely NOT a middle class area. There are hardly any areas in Runcorn that could be termed as middle class.

"the ugly one"

[edit]

Have I gone insane, or been transported to a parallel world where that's an acceptable thing to put on a (supposedly) sophisticated website like Wikipedia? Please can we get rid of that. I have very little interest in her and her career but I really think you could do without that. It's not only quite cruel, but also it's unnecessary and irrelevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.228.66 (talk) 20:43, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's not the opinion of one of our editors, but a direct quote from outside Wikipedia, and is sourced to this web page. See fifth paragraph, sentence beginning "Softly-spoken Nicola would cry herself to sleep ...". As such, it satisfies WP:V and is not a WP:BLP violation. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:52, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

There is several harv style links to "Roberts, 2009" and one to "Girls Aloud, 2009" that do not link to anything giving the details of the books. Can someone add the appropriate entries with full book details. Thanks.. Keith D (talk) 20:12, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The text also mentions "Girls Aloud 2008 biography" is this the same as the "Girls Aloud, 2009" reference? Keith D (talk) 12:17, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
