[edit]To the best of my knowledge Noam Federman has been convicted in several instances. I added an accuracy dispute warning until things are sorted out. gidonb 15:20, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- I remove the tag, since I already dealt with the issue in the article. gidonb 21:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Background?
[edit]The article starts with "After his release ... " Surely there should be some background - release from where? Why was he incarcerated? Knowing nothing of this individual or the relevant Israeli politics I feel that I'm starting the story half-way through. TrulyBlue 09:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
He was not charged with a crime he was held in administrative detention, this is common Israeli practice against Nationalists. The reason he was arrested is he wrote a guidebook for people to get through arrests without being broken by the Israeli Secret Police.
- Perhaps someone could write that in the article? This is significant information that needs to be part of the wiki, otherwise the article has no context at all. TrulyBlue 13:03, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Broken Citations
[edit]Almost all of the citations on this article are broken or in Hebrew. Because of this, the article is almost entirely uncited. I will attempt to update the citations where I can, but I will need to remove that material which I cannot find replacement citation for. Any assistance is appreciated. Federman's brother
[edit]In this edit,
On 24 May 2002, his brother, Eli Federman, while on duty as a security guard outside the Studio49 Tel Aviv nightclub, shot and killed a suicide car bomber just seconds before he could drive his vehicle into the crowded club, preventing many deaths.[1]Anchorman David Witztum, reporting the incident, contrasted Eli's behavior to that of his radical brother. Eli described his actions thus:
I fired one bullet at him. He fell out of the car and blew up. After the blast, I shot him twice in the head, and then moved closer and emptied the rest of the clip into his head.'[2]

I did not originate the material about Federman's brother, Eli. That has been in the article for 7 years at least. No one objected to it until I fleshed it out and sourced it. I simply (a) provided a book source (b) that linked the incident re Eli to his brother. This is perfectly legitimate. No editor found that exceptional. Settleman, you removed it because I had tweaked in information, and not because the information itself was irrelevant. By the way, tracking me here is another example of your WP:HOUNDING. I'm adding the cases up.Nishidani (talk) 20:55, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
- You have added Federman to Tel Rumeida so I saw it! But also, if I wanted to annoy you (which is hounding) I would do much more. If I see such edits I believe it is my responsibility to remove them.
You want to smear Israel, open a blog (or rather add comments on Silverstein's). Now, for NPA reasons I will stop. - If you haven't touched this Eli nonsense, fine. I can't axpect you to remove it. But since you have edited the text, you can't just hide behinds the fact someone added it before. This is like using human-shields. Settleman (talk) 21:23, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
- 'You want to smear Israel'. Strike that out immediately or it will go on the report log of your accusations and behavior I am compiling.Nishidani (talk) 21:52, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
- Anything about why you have expanded on Federman's brother? or will I get the silence treatment again? Settleman (talk) 08:42, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
