Ottawa Fury (disambiguation)Ottawa Fury – Ottawa Fury was the name of multiple teams over the course of the last 15 years. Currently Ottawa Fury auto-redirects to Ottawa Fury FC, a team that folded in 2019. Only one actual article actually links to Ottawa Fury], which can be easily edited (the rest of the links are Sandbox/Talk pages), so the current re-direct isn't really much use. Every other article links appropriately to the relevant article - Ottawa Fury FC, Ottawa Fury (2005–13), Ottawa Fury Women. While Ottawa Fury FC still receives the majority of page views (~80 daily), page views have shrunk substantially since the team folded and likely will continue to fall as WP:RECENCY gets older and the new club that replaced it Atlético Ottawa grows in importance (already receives triple what currently Ottawa Fury FC gets). While the redirect was appropriate when the team was active, I feel it's less useful now that the team is defunct, especially if the reader wants a full history of the club, they'd want to see Ottawa Fury (2005–13) for the origins RedPatchBoy (talk) 01:29, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. I agree that the former USL team is no longer the primary topic. I've gone ahead and "fixed" the Davies article. BLAIXX 16:27, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak support I'd expect that most looking for the FC would use the full term unlike Ottawa Fury (2005–2013). Google does return only the FC one but as noted that could be recentism. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:56, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
