"Maybe the lessons delivered by "Our Idiot Brother" aren't exactly profound: Ned could benefit from a little of his sisters' superego power, and the chaos he spreads in their lives is ultimately a constructive force. But as life advice from movies goes, you could definitely do worse, and ending the summer with a generous, adult-oriented entertainment that won't insult your intelligence is an unexpected surprise."
This is almost perfect actually needs more detail of every scene, if some people don't want to hear the long plot spoilers than their should be a small sub section and for a longer version maybe a link to a fresh page.Shawn Worthington Laser Plasma (talk) 22:35, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually no. Within the encyclopedic scope of this, the article just needs enough information for the reader to understand the general plot of the film. It certainly does not need details and in depth descriptions of whole scenes, which while nice in the movie itself severely distract from the understanding of the story as a whole. Of course spoilers are a given when you're reading an article about any work of fiction so no need to remove or hide them. But there is too much detail in here - the whole first paragraph could be a single sentence to set the premise - it is not at all important (to the summary) how Ned was coaxed into selling Marijuana, it is only important that he was unjustly convicted of doing so. Also the plot description should less follow the original order of the movie but instead give an overview. The way it is it is generally waaaay too long. Also there is too much of an in universe perspective and the plot kills the article. Please read here for more information. And then let's take out at least 75% of this. --Ulkomaalainen (talk) 21:27, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
