Poorly written at best
[edit]Aside from the claim of plagiarism by 65.184.146.90, there are headings with no description and the remarks are completely disjoint. The issue of relations between the U.S. and Pakistan are very relevant to current events and the article should be written appropriately for it. 64.178.97.74 12:17, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Agreeing with the above comment, Pak US relationships are extremely relevant to the current world affairs, not only as bilateral relations, but also in context of their worldwide impact and other nations' reactions such as India, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan. Speaking as a Pakistani, this sounds and reads like a highly biased version which can be mostly found in tabloids and other run of the mill local newspapers which mostly contain rhetoric and pessimism over Pak US relationships. The language and style are against Wikipedia rules, as well as dubious citations (unreliable sources). This needs a complete cleanup and revamp.182.178.32.135 (talk) 14:57, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Military aid from the United States
[edit]Pakistan is a major non-NATO ally as part of the War on Terrorism. A leading recipient of US military aid, Pakistan is expected to receive approximately 1.3 billion for 2010[1]. 25% of the military is subsidized by the US government.[2].
All the info stated above has oready been stated
25% of the military is subsidized by the US government.[3]. the point made is not backed by refMughalnz (talk) 00:16, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- What? 25% of the Pakistani armed forces is subsidized by the government. You can't just remove an entire section because one sentence is disputed. Use the [citation needed] tag when necessary. Please restore the paragraph. Wikifan12345 (talk) 01:32, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- I removed the section becuase it is repeating information already stated on the page that why i removed it .But if you stil want to added it ,i can help you add more info. Also point you made on the last line is not is not backed by ref ,but again you put back on the page ,this seen as vandalism. But you probaly forgot about it so all good good will edit. [edit]Shouldn't there be an addage of the NATO attack on Pakistan that occurred on November 26th? Because I'm not finding any information about this in this article. 173.188.57.152 (talk) 18:07, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Pakistan–United States relations
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Pakistan–United States relations's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Dispute over $300 Million Dollars of Military Aid being postponed by Department of Defense
[edit]On September 1, 2018, the Department of Defense announced that they would postpone the transfer of approximately $300 million dollars in military aid to Pakistan. According to The Economic Times Pakistani Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi stated, "The USD 300 million is neither aid nor assistance – it is the money Pakistan spent from its resources against militants and in the war against terrorism. This is the money they (US) are supposed to reimburse, but now either they are not willing or unable to pay back." [1] The US is stating that the aid was part of the Coalition Support Fund (CFS) and was not previously owed to the country. The reason for the additional removal of aid, since the initial $500 million dollar aid withdrawal in January 2018, is due to a lack of effort by the Pakistan Government in combating terrorist organizations in their country. [2] [3] The issue over the funding caused tensions in both countries. On September 5, 2018, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Pakistan, the first visit of the Trump administration, but did not discuss the postponement of aid to the country.[4] [5] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bclawrenc (talk • contribs) 21:24, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Exaggerations on cultural influence
[edit]Grossly inflated one sided statements that US culture has heavy influence in Pakistan is wrong, american apple pies, hot dog stands and US cinema are not famous in Pakistan as has been stated. The US chains like KFC, MCD's, pizzahut have global presence, not sure why it has to be specifically mentioned in this article, there are Pakistani restaurents in the US but they dont get mentioned here. I dont think that the section of cultural influence seem necessary. Zombie gunner (talk) 09:44, 9 October 2020 (UTC)

lead to long
[edit]Cooperation and assistance in the military field have already appeared once, and it should not be repeated in large sections. It is normal to refer to the military relations between the United States and other countries, such as Israel, and transfer the military content to relevant entries. On the one hand, a user joined Infobox, claiming that the content of this article was too long, and requested that it be transferred to the corresponding entry, but there was no reason to roll back the edited edits after the transfer. contradictory Eupakistani (talk) 04:51, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
