He also was in trouble for match fixing.

This piece is treated under "Scandal" with references. From what I have read, the allegations were based on very thin evidence.Doktorschley (talk) 16:13, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paolo Rossi was not part of the 1986 World Cup - - In a local paper here in Manila when World Cup Mexico started, the headline read "Italy Plays sans Rossi" - - so it is inaccurate to state that he had a lacklustre performance in the 1986 World Cup. Thank you.

Sure he was. He had the #20 shirt. By then his knees were completely shot, and he did not play. Please see

The article gives no reference to him in the 1986 World Cup.Doktorschley (talk) 16:16, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reference section needed. I gave a reference to rossi being among Pele's 125 best living footballers, but only the numeric citation, and not the reference, shows up.Doktorschley (talk) 16:16, 17 October 2008 (UTC) Finally, I can put in a picture, but don't know how. Disambiguation

[edit]

Paolo Rossi is the player who won the World Cup. Disambiguation useless, player of Lega pro not notable.--Kirk39 (talk) 05:24, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1. Leonel Messi never won the golden boot and golden ball. He won only the golden ball on two World Cups.
2. In addition to Paulo Rossi, Salvatore Schilachi won both the golden ball and the golden boot at 1990 World Cup. That made him the second European to win the two prizes.
You have to correct these errors. AladdinAlevi (talk) 23:26, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Info from the Italian wiki

[edit]

It seems there is a lot more information on the Italian wiki, is it possible to incorporate that into here? Govvy (talk) 07:54, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
