This article as written accepts as true the story that Edouard Deldevez wrote the original version of Paquita, and that Minkus' contribution came later, with Petipa's revival. But there is an alternative hypothesis, that Minkus was in the mix from the start: http://www.balletmet.org/Notes/Minkus.htmlChristofurio (talk) 22:17, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BalletMet

[edit]

The BalletMet website is probably reliable in this matter but does not provide any references for its assertion that:

There is some debate as to whether Minkus contributed to the score of the ballet Paquita that premiered in Paris in 1846 by the experienced ballet composer, Edouard Deldevez. However, Minkus is credited for the 1847 production of the ballet in St. Petersburg....

What is meant by "credited for the 1847 production"? Can anybody find the original work from which this is taken? — Robert Greer (talk) 15:51, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

I thought I'd spend a day or two on line looking for citations. Hope they are helpful. Anobium625 (talk) 02:12, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
